Either Mark Jones is getting a pile of dough under the table, or he doesn’t give a damn about actual sponsors, but I’ve never seen a play-by-play guy drop so many plugs for businesses and products that aren’t paying handsomely for the privilege.
I mean, once in awhile, you drop a local business, sure, but this is a regular thing with him. I’ve been surprised that advertisers haven’t complained.
He’s trying to get street credit for mentioning all the local businesses. He does do it all the time, similar how he likes to chop it up on every telecast. Nice observation and a thumbs up.
