The Sacramento Kings’ losing streak will live to see another game as they lost the Brooklyn Nets 118-127 at the Barclays Center on Tuesday. The Kings have lost their last eight games, which ties their longest losing streak from last season.

The Nets came rushing out of the gate to take a 42-28 lead at the end of the first quarter, but from that point on it was a pretty even contest. In fact, the Kings won both the second and third quarters and only trailed by two points going into the fourth quarter.

The Kings did their best to make one last push in the fourth quarter and build something resembling a comfortable, but their offense went cold outside of De’Aaron Fox. The Nets capitalized on the Kings’ struggles and went on a 14-1 run led by Bruce Brown — yes, Bruce Brown.

It wasn’t all bad for the Kings, though. Tyrese Haliburton tied his career-high in points (23) and dished out nine assists, and DaQuan Jeffries got some run again. If the Kings continue to their rapid descent, we’ll have to look for those silver linings a lot more often.

The Kings will try and snap their losing streak on Thursday, when the’ll play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
