The Sacramento Kings will not have a representative at the NBA All-Star game for the fourth-straight season.

On Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic shared which players will be reserves next month and De’Aaron Fox was not among them:

There were hopes that Fox would be named an All-Star for the first time in his career, but he didn’t get enough votes among NBA coaches. The point guard could still be designated as a replacement in case of an injury but will have to compete with the likes of Devin Booker and DeMar DeRozan.

Fox is averaging a career-high 22.3 points per game this season. He’s also putting up 7.1 assists and shooting 33.6 percent from the 3-point line.

The Kings have crashed back down to earth after going on a 7-1 run that took them to a game over .500. Since then, Sacramento has lost seven in a row and sits at 12-18 through 30 games.

Fox dealt with a minor knee injury that forced him to miss, and he hasn’t fully returned to form. Since the injury, Fox is averaging 17.2 points and shooting just 41 percent from the field.

Even though the 23-year-old may not get the All-Star nod this season, he will have plenty of opportunities as he continues through his career.
