Tyrese Haliburton had his highly productive rookie season cut short due to a knee injury he suffered against the Dallas Mavericks on May 2. While the immediate aftermath of the injury didn’t look great for Haliburton and the Sacramento Kings, an MRI revealed that his ligaments didn’t suffer any damage.
Over a month has passed since Haliburton’s injury and apparently that’s all the time he needed to get healthy. During a recent appearance on “The Old Man and The Three” with JJ Redick and Tommy Alter, he said that his knee is already back to full strength:
Haliubrton said he’s not back in the gym just yet, as he just got back from vacationing in Hawaii, but when he does being his offseason workouts, he’s not expected to have any lingering injuries to hold him back. That’s fantastic news for Kings fans.
As impressive as Haliburton was in his rookie season, he showed that he has the potential to reach another level and fully healthy offseason, with summer workouts and Summer League, should help him get there.
