The Sacramento Kings held practice on Tuesday, and though Marvin Bagley III wasn’t a participant due to a foot injury he suffered at practice on Sunday, he was there as a spectator. While Kings fans are still patiently awaiting the results of the MRI Bagley got on Sunday, a video of him at Tuesday’s practice has already led many to believe Bagley will be out for a while.
In the video posted by Sean Cunningham of ABC10 Sacramento, Bagley can be seen limping in crutches with an orthopedic walking boot on his right foot. The Kings could just be taking precautionary measures because of where the injury is, in combination with Bagley’s history of foot injuries, but it’s definitely a worrying sight.
Had heard reports of Kings F/C Marvin Bagley III in a walking boot & crutches yesterday. Today, we witness him exiting practice in Orlando in the boot and crutches. pic.twitter.com/0ZLkWFBrml

If Bagley is out for an extended period of time, the Kings have shown they can weather the storm with the depth they have — particularly at the positions Bagley was expected to play, the 4 and 5.
Between Richaun Holmes, Harry Giles III and Alex Len, Luke Walton will have no shortage of bodies to play at center. They’ll also be fine with Harrison Barnes, Nemanja Bjelica, Corey Brewer, and Jabari Parker soaking up the minutes at power forward.
However, Bagley missing the remainder of the season wouldn’t just have short-term repercussions for the Kings. If Bagley doesn’t play in Orlando, he will end his sophomore season with just 75 career NBA games. It’s hard to tell whether a player is worth keeping around with a sample size so small.
For Bagley’s sake and the Kings’, let’s hope the injury looks worse than it actually is.
