Marvin Bagley III has been cleared to resume basketball activities, the Sacramento Kings announced on Thursday. Bagley has missed the last 20 games with a fourth metacarpal fracture in his left hand that he suffered against the Charlotte Hornets on March 15.

While there is no set date for Bagley’s return to the court just yet, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reported on Thursday that the team is “targeting next week.” The Kings have gone 11-9 without Bagley in the starting lineup.

Richaun Holmes has also been cleared to resume basketball activities, Luke Walton revealed after practice on Thursday, and, when it comes to this season, Holmes’ return is arguably more important than Bagley’s.

Per 100 possessions, Sacramento’s offense is 7.6 points better with Holmes on the court. Comparatively, their offense is only 1.8 points better 100 possessions with Bagley on the court.

Defensively, they’re both technically negatives, but Bagley’s a worse individual defender than Holmes. With how much the Kings have struggled on the defensive end this season, anything helps.

The Kings don’t play again until Sunday, so it’s not unreasonable to think that both Bagley and Holmes will both be available then. If they’re not, Walton will likely start Harrison Barnes and Hassan Whiteside at the 4 and 5 again.
