We continued our draft profiles with the duo you've all been waiting for - Arkansas wing Moses Moody and Michigan forward Franz Wagner.

Our review of 2021 NBA Draft prospects continues with our two favorite realistic selections for the Sacramento Kings – Arkansas wing Moses Moody, and Michigan forward Franz Wagner.

In this episode, we discuss

  • The defensive versatility of Wagner and Moody, and their best defensive assignments at the next level
  • Moody’s shotmaking potential, and what his “creator” label actually means
  • Franz’s offensive strengths and concerns
  • Who is more likely to make an all-defense team?
  • Why the idea of their “low ceilings”is absurd
  • How they compliment Fox and Haliburton
  • Why they are our favorite picks on draft night

In the last week, Brenden Nunes released a full prospect profile on Wagner, and my profile on Moody was published this morning. Check those articles out for our full analysis on each player, complete with videos.

How high do you have Moody and Wagner on your big boards? Which do you prefer for the Kings? Let us know in the comments!

I think it’s fairly safe to assume one of these two drops to use at 9 and I think either are pretty good fits and very close to bpa. We could be in a worse situation for sure.

I’d love to snag another mid first, but not sure how that works…gonna be a fun week coming up!

The highlights of Jamius Ramsay at this time last year are more impressive than Bad Moody and we don’t even know if Ramsay is an NBA player yet.

Moody is going to shoot 40% and 4-5 PPG next year. I don’t even think he’s good enough to be in a rotation, barring transcendent summer development. Is that who you are pining for?

He’s a SG more than a SF. He’s body is weak. He doesn’t play hard. He doesn’t even stand up straight. He has hunched shoulders, the Hunchback of Arkanasas.

Bad Moody is frail, slow and pathetic, and those are his winning qualities. How anyone could rank this schlub over Ziaiare is beyond me. It is not even close!

You guys left out an important detail when you discussed Franz Wagner, aka the House Plant. The House Plant is still waiting for the phone to ring, checking his battery and setting the volume to maximum. The silence is defeaning as a salty tear rolls down his cheek.

Are we to believe we learned 35 names of prospects to SAC, per Tony’s list, but Wagner slipped in and out in the dead of night or light of day undiscovered? I don’t think so!

Why seriously consider a prospect our GM pretends doesn’t exist? It is an exercise in futility, just like when the House Plant tries to drive the lane and finish through traffic.

Kai Jones should be the pick, especially if we lose Holmes.

That’s a GM with balls and foresight, the same one who targeted TD and Metu off the scrap heap.

Kai Jones put Cade in the torture chamber when Texas played OSU. Kai shut him down every time on the pick and roll switch. Isn’t Cade suppose to be this transcendent player, the irrefutable #1, the next Luka? If Cade as good as advertised, what does it say about Kai he had no problem locking him up and stealing his lunch money?

Here is a full breakdown of that game with commentary, and you can see his elite potential !(Kai, not Cade).

I get many fans have PTSD after Willie. Kai Jones is not Willie. He is good and he can be an impact player immediately. He will be a great target for Ty and Fox, can switch as he show here onto anyone, and his energy and hustle will be contagious.

Future stars pop off the screen. Kai pops. Bad Moody doesn’t pop. His game needs a blue pill.

Moody seems like a solid two-way player, but I’m still not sold on Wagner. And who is the best fit on the kings at the other forward position next to Barnes? Moe Harkless.
