A peaceful protest in support of Black Lives Matter drew and estimated 4,000 people to Downtown Sacramento on Saturday, including Sacramento Kings players, coaches, management, and ownership. The Kings organization has partner with and supported Black Lives Matter for a few years now, so their support Saturday wasn’t surprising but it was still meaningful.

For King and fan-favorite Isaiah Thomas chimed in the protest as well.

This continues a multi-year history of community involvement and activism by the Kings, for which the team was recently named a finalist for ESPN’s 2020 Sports Humanitarian Award.

Awesome!
Safety Cat may find this amusing. I’m getting this Ad when I visit KingsHerald.com. The site may have become self aware, as I don’t even own a cat. I blame Blake, it is not that funny.

Heh, now a fresh step clean paws Ad.. Unreal.
May have to now cross off CrossFit off as an Ad Sponsor.
Channel 10 was carrying most of this Saturday. Good to see the local support.
Nice.
Very good
Awesome
Kosta now has a blue thumbs up. Nice going Blues Brother. 🙂

Unfortunately because of my big fat cat mouth, we’re now Silvers Brothers. I really loved those blue shields. 🙁
Love to see the team and players stepping up and being leaders in the community. They aren’t obligated, but they are some of the most high profile black men in the city, so the fact that they are choosing to embrace that position and trying to amplify the message is commendable.
Also, De’Aaron with short hair! Barely recognized him!
Have fun out there, Just Do It!
Don’t Hate me. At least Ziller still feeds me. Talk to the paw. 🙂
Sorry to be so chatty today. I was up early this morning and killing time. I couldn’t just call up Kosta and say .. Hey Man You Up?
News is now saying there is an explosion in Social Media posting. I wonder why that is? Perhaps we should ask Grant about it?
After I adopt Safety Cat and Klam, we need Blake to update Klam’s avatar ..

Anyone get up early to listen to KHTK .. or just me?
Carmichael Dave will talk about Grant at 8:30 on KHTK.
Loved that at 8:30, Dave wasted 10 mins talking about nothing and than goes to break saying they’ll talk about it after the break. I had forgotten why I stopped listening to radio and this was a great reminder why podcasts are better.
That ten minute wait put you over the edge?
Glad you guys are covering this. I was there Saturday and it was great. So many people showed and the diversity of marchers were off the charts. Police were not intrusive (while I was there) and the players, and speakers were inspiring. Very proud of the Kings and Sacramento. I was thinking Grant should’ve showed up to speak with people. If he wants to change his image and make amends for his comments that would’ve been the place to start.
Also was wearing my black Fox jersey. Didn’t know he was there too until seeing that tweet.
Full support from all 5 Mookies for this. Seriously.
Very proud of our city. This is amazing!
