Gallo has never really been away. He has been watching most games from a seat near a huge screen at the Palm Street Pub at Marconi and Fair Oaks, not far from his roost.
One problem has been that Ms. Gallina has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) that has left her fairly immobile. She needs the couch, TV, and computer most days and nights. No, there’s nothing to be done.
Gallo seriously, I’m so sorry to hear that. Very tough. You, your wife and your family will be in my prayers an d I pray multiple time per day. I understand the diagnosis. When my wife was diagnosed with terminal metastatic breast cancer and there was nothing else to be done after all the trials I don’t know what to say. There will be better days and worse days and for her and your kids all you can do is make the better days a little bit more special. I live in Chico but it would just be a short drive to join you at Marconi & Fair Oaks and catch a game with you. It would be my pleasure. Hang in my brother. Hope the Kings bring some slight into your life during a really dark time. All my love Gallo
Thank you all so much. It will be hard for her . . . it already is, just two years in. The decline of cognitive function is bad enough, but the loss of dexterity is more of a daily frustration. She can’t cook or open anything. I have to be her hands. The docs all tell her not to drive.
It will be hard for me, too, but I don’t want to whine about that.

So Ivey went a combined 3/21 from 3PT the last 3 games so of course he’s 4/4 so far today through 2 quarters.
Can’t feel good about giving up 70 to the Pistons. Ugly.
Good news is they’re only down 2 at half despite playing zero defense and the Pistons somehow shooting 9/14 from 3PT despite being a terrible 3PT shooting team. Got to think they start falling back down to earth in the 2nd half. Kings just gotta do a better job of preventing so many easy buckets in the paint(daily issue yeah yeah)
Please hold this team under 30 for the 3rd and 4th and win this game. Damnit

Metu got burned defensively multiple times He was a matador in the first half. May need to go to Len or Holmes to anchor the interior defense.
Yeah not sure why Holmes found himself in the doghouse so early in the season, I like Metu but not enough to solidify him in the rotation, on another note and most importantly, why in the hell is TD not getting minutes? He has been easily a top 6 player in our rotation during this run he needs to be in our rotation.

This offense truly is something else. They didn’t even shoot well from 3PT tonight and still put up 137. I still have a hard time seeing how this team can improve enough defensively to be average with their current personnel, but if they can maintain a top 5 offense like this, they should continue to stay afloat in the playoff picture in a stacked West
