Is it just me or is Bagley’s game (at least on offense) looking better? I haven’t seen the last handful of games but I hope it’s been that way.
Not really. He was scoring at the rim as a rookie. It just appears new because he’s playing on the perimeter more now, working on his outside shot which has resulted in his percentage near the rim plummeting and also his FT %.
Idk earlier in the season he almost always tried to back people down so he could force up a bad shot, and this half he’s been mixing up his normal game with cutting and passing, and got that assist to Hali for the halftime buzzer beater. Bags has forced more passes than shots, which I’m happy with at this point in his career.
Ain’t gonna cut it for a 2nd contract.

You notice we go to the Barnes one on one game when we get down 10 or more? Then everyone else tries to go one on one.
Barnes can actually create his own shot, that is part of his game and it is his job to get a basket when it is needed the most.
I’m not saying he can’t. That was his 1st post up of the game when we’re down by 10. When the ball stops moving like it did, they go to Barnes. They should go to him earlier, but they tend to go to him only when the ball stops moving. And that’s too often, then that’s when hero ball starts. Watch the blowout losses
Every NBA team has a player that can post up, if not two, sometimes three, and their job, their role, among other things, is to go get the basket on their own to stop the bleeding or push the lead. That is what Barnes does for the Kings.
Man if they are serious about playoffs this is a game they have to win. If you look at the games around the league this win can move us up the standings. On the bright side, if we lose we get closer to Cade Cunningham 🙂

What a garbage 3rd quarter. This is a very winnable game, but there’s little defensive effort and we’re still chucking threes without trying to go inside first. Maybe we’ll see something different in the 4th.

Right now they are looking at 10-12 pick again. Not exactly an area for a franchise player. If they’re fighting for a play in and don’t make it, it will be be another wasted season. No high pick in a loaded draft and still no playoffs. 5 out of the next 6 games are rough: Celtics, Nuggets(They will be looking for revenge), Clippers, Sixers, Magic and Nets.
