Go Kings!
Go Kings! I’m watching for the first time so I’m sorry if I jinx the win streak
Damn….actually, maybe we could’ve used you in 2002
Lucky #7
Let’s go!
wow. yikes
Maybe this one wasn’t the one to sit down and watch…
Finally starting to play in the same style as they did the 1st 4 games.
Let’s get Bobby that championship!
What is this defense trickery I’m seeing?
If you’re at the game, mind starting a SAC-RA-MENTO chant?
Really nice comeback after Bobby calls an early timeout and resets their mental approach. Hustling, playing good D, and Terry is going to be playing for someone. Kings should find a way to sign him to G League.
Boston fan nearby just yells out loud “Jesus,Mitchell is the Anti-Christ on D” as he frustrates Pritchard. Ha.
Reading this in a Bah-sthan accent makes it even better.
Reading this imagining them taking a bite out of a Dunkin Donut in the middle of that sentence.
Something something Dropkick Murphys.
All I see on TV are fans wearing Boston or Fakers jerseys
Lots of green in the stands. Lots of purple on the scoreboard.
Lot of guys named “Chuck” out on the floor right now
I’m starting to get behind Ramsey earning minutes soon. Hopefully this summer playing defense with Bobby and this team stays with the kid.
What I have noticed is Davion made a point of getting the ball to Ramsey early in the SL first two games and helped build his confidence. Davion sits near him and pushes him to sit next to University of Christie. It’s one of the small things Davion does well.
Good observation. Dope to have that kind of guy on this team.
So dope
Two DEA Agents at Las Vegas Summer League!
This is exciting on a lot of fronts JP. Thanks for your comments throughout SL (and in general)!
Likewise.
I love Davion’s leadership and IQ. He was on the bench and called for a switch to get I think Coleman a mismatch with a slower post player. And he’s nothing but supportive on the court and off the bench.
Excellent observation. It’s been really fun to watch him “coach”. Really high BBIQ as you noted. Rec.
It’s pretty cool that ESPN asked the Kings to use the team’s TV guy to call this game.
Between this game and his Pro Am game, Pritchard is currently averaging 46 ppg
Looks like an Off-Night for him
Watching Woodard start for Metu is like watching Bagley start for Karl Malone. Woodard looks horrendous and has all summer league.
AND 1!!!!!!!!!
Scalding Take
Jah’mius Ramsey, already a better finisher and defender than Buddy Hield after one Summer League
JamRam
The Kings defense won the first half.
I agree with Kangz Landing. The unsung hero of the Kings team, someone I found myself hoping he could have a solid good game last season, is Jah’mius Ramsey. He has played very well this SL. With confidence and has had an impact on the teams four wins. It’s really good to watch such a young player start to fill his NBA sails with wind.
Ramsey is an NBA guy. Probably not a starter and maybe he doesn’t fit with the Kings, but dude can ball.
He can, and I think before Josh Primo was drafted he was the youngest player on an NBA roster. I am so happy to see him get a chance and take advantage of it. He can play and I don’t want to see him fall between the cracks of NBA basketball. He has had a few interviews that show he has a high BBIQ. He is a good teammate.
This is the most fun Kings team I’ve watched since Joerger
I want an Emanuel Terry jersey
Also, probably the coaching has something to do with this.
Joerger ___________ Bobby
No matter what happens the rest of the way this has been a lot of fun to watch these players. Several have carved out opportunities somewhere in the basketball world…Terry, Jah’mius, Coleman, King….. this is a good team that has been on the court. They pull for each other, they are playing tenacious, exhausting defense, and are very opportunistic in scoring on other teams turnovers. Very enjoyable team to watch. I hope the Kings find a way to keep Terry. Sorry for typos. Phat thumbs.
Terry continues to be impressive. Too bad we already have 32 centers on the roster.
I could see Terry as Bagley’s replacement. A center/power forward type player.
Woodard struggling with his shot
If Ramsey attacks the rim like that rather than settles for Js as was a pre draft knock of his, I’ll fully be on the JAMRAM TRAIN!
JamRam Tram?
Amazing feed by Mitchell to Ramsey. That was an advanced read Junkie’s been talking about.
Really an amazing play, simple and devastating. You could watch several Celtics just shrug their shoulders and drop their gaze.
I’ve only been watching a bit here and there but the Celtics are turning it over like it’s going out of style…and the Kings aren’t. That’s interesting to me.
Hell, let’s run with:
Fox
Davion
Ramsey
Haliburton
Holmes
…Or 5 centers.
Ramsey looking great… active and moving…. Mitchell is looking for him.
Sacramento Dings
Cuz of this D.
Our defense is crazy good.
LET’S GO!
Davion is living rent free inside Pritchards head. Misses the ocean with that shot.
Woodard is awful at everything.
Except wide open dunks
Ha. Great recovery!
Making money and dunking says hello.
But I agree, needs alot more GLeague minutes.
These Kings are making the Celtics look like a Summer League team
Louis King looks like the real King
King Louis. He should wear number XIV. And talk with a french accent.
It’s good to be the King!
Celtics have a plethora of green turnovers.
Bobby Jackson for Coach Of The Year
Nick Nurse went from GLeague Champion to NBA Champion so why not Bobby J?!?!?!
Hell yeah!!
Dominating!
Man guess I gotta tune in to Stockton Kings games this year. We might have something here with Coach Jackson.
Calling him Coach Jackson now btw
Dang this Louis King is something else.
I’d like an Emanuel Terry jersey, a Louis King jersey, a Ramsey jersey, a Davion jersey….and a Coach Bobby Jackson bobblehead
King, Ramsey and Terry deserve rotations to the NBA. King has an obvious fit with the Kings, but the I wouldn’t mind even a little letting the other two get some action to showcase early this season
From the ESPN broadcast (paraphrasing)
“As Mike Tyson said, everyone has a plan until you get punched in the mouth by Chimezie Metu.”
Mark Jones made me laugh with that line.
Fuck the varsity team. I love this JV shit.
Can we just make these guys the big squad, send those other soft quitters to the G League?
They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, though. 🙁
Haha! Even at 0-82, these guys would be worth rooting for.
Totally!
This is a dominating performance. Which is good to see from your 1st round pick, and development guys like Ramsey and King.
From the Celtics blog game thread write up …. “The Celtics were the superior team through the first 4 games. They had a +21 point differential while the Kings had a +13.8 differential.”
… Superior team lol.
And now they’re down by 21 through 3 Quarters.
Who needs Josh Hart when we have Louis freaking King?!
Agree
20 point lead…a defense to be proud of.
Jah’mius feasting on speed and layups as it if is Thanksgiving morning.
Thanksgiving at your house sounds… Interesting
You made me laugh out loud. The Phoenix fan near me just leaned over and says, honestly, “I am happy for you Kings fans. Let’s meet in the playoffs this year”.
(gulp) he wasn’t a really buffed dude with a mullet and a black Suns jersey, holding up 4 fingers, was he?
Ha. No.
LUKE WALTON BETTER START WATCHING THAT TAPE.
#CoachBJax
25 TO’s for Boston to 6 for Sacramento. 36 points off turnovers for Sacramento to 6 for Boston.
Yeah, this SL has been successful for this group.
Davion is on a roll.
NCAA champion…..VSL champion………. _________________
Can’t stop. Won’t stop.
I wanna hear the SAC-RA-MENTO chant!
Pretty please!
A long quarter to go. But no matter what, this has been a great week for me. Really, really fun.
BTW. If any of you Kings fans have anything on your bucket list you still want to see come to Vegas. It has it all, including a few Martians. What a place. I’ve been all over the world. Only other place like it is New Orleans. And NO is the “SL” of Vegas.
Lived there a few years. Nothing like it on earth
There is not.
I am a long way from the Ohio farm of my childhood.
Excited as hell for Davion Mitchell and the season. Jahm’ius Ramsey and Louis King seem like they have potential. Neemus Queta, too.
I’m also depressed as a mofo about Chris Bassitt getting hit in the head with a line drive….so it’s mostly been one hell of a fucked up night overall.
Have a rec.
I think Chris Bassitt needs it more than I do….but yeah. This SL has been fun for the Kings. Lots of good things.
Doesn’t mean a whole lot in the grand scheme, but there were positives to take away.
Yes, there are positives. That is all we ask. Positive progress.
SL is about development. There was positive development overall. I do like Metu, King and Queta.
It’s pretty cool for those lesser known guys that they got to be part of something fun even for a fleeting moment. Not everyone does.
I agree. Fun to watch the growth in players. They all bought in to Jackson’s staff approach. It was all good for the coaching staff too who get to add a SL championship to their resume. This team was very very well coached.
Mark Jones and Fran Franschilla talked about how BJax and DC13 prepared this team well, and they scouted the CSL team well. And it showed.
Your point about Mitchell being a coach on and off the floor, the talent displayed, the coaching. Those are positive things.
They didn’t win this game, they smashed the Celtics who had multiple FRP’s on the floor much of the game. And they smashed them in the turnover area by a lot which is mostly what draws my attention.
Doug Christie sighting on the sidelines
Bobby Jackson needs to be doused with the gatorade
These kids making it look really easy. And man, these C’s on the floor not making their case, not even in the CBA.
2003?? Mark Jones
Davion sitting next to Jah’mius whispering in his ear and pointing out plays and defensive tactics. I just love what Davion has done to help Jah’mius show his skills. This is SL, it is not the NBA, but it’s a start, an impressive one, for Ramsey.
SUCK IT, LARRY BIRD
Love how Pritchard is still in the game, down by 30, trying to pad his 6 pts.
He had an off night
He just might have an off career now. I think he’s crying.
ESPN showing the trophy and MVP trophy.
Who do you think wins MVP?
Mitchell for the hype
Louis King for basketball reasons
Bobby may have partially solved a small part of the wing rotation at Vegas. I agree Kangz. Jah’mius should be noted for his excellent Silent Assassin play in all five games.
Four Oklahoma citizens, grasshoppers all, nearby. Great guys. Big Mavs fans…, thanking me for gifting them one certain player. I congratulated them. Noted he is an elite player, and it’s a huge mistake for the Kings. I let them rub it in for awhile. Then we went silent.
Terry gets an uncontested layup and I turned around and I asked all four of them, “How much is that Porzingus contract worth and how many years are left on the contract. They collectively groaned. I asked “How is that working out for you?” The one closest to me laughed and said “Touché.”
We all laughed. Fun guys I have bumped into since the second Kings game. SL been fun.
I imagine you get along with everyone you meet, HoustonJP 🙂
Life is fun and way too short…enjoy the run.
Back to business. Can we trade Buddy now? Davion needs his minutes
Buddy sat in for the entire Pelicans game in the small Cox pavillion this week…..
Buddy for Zion trade incoming
Wow, this game has turned into a real ass-whuppen. Good job Kings!
A blow out in a championship game and we were the underdog. Hey Luke, look defense actually works.
Something something gotta look at the tape
I heard the SAC-RA-MENTO chants!
Thank you!!!
We are the champions…of the world, well the summer league.
TWO TIMES!

Bobby Jackson “….I preached team, team, team….” Wonderful.
Louis King SL MVP!!! Awesomeness!
I think he just ripped away Woodard’s roster spot.
Or Woodard’s poor play has hurt him. I’m not worried one iota about whether or not the Kings have a roster spot for Louis King since he’s on a TWC. They don’t need one right now.
DEFENSE REALLY DOES WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS. WOAH.
I can’t wait to watch the Kings play in Houston and watch Mitchell play Jalen. I think he will hold him below his average.
Bobby Jackson just restored my faith in Kings basketball. We were finally able to watch games without wincing every defensive possession. Who knew defense could add to entertainment value and lead to wins?
I think the Knicks showed that punting offense for all out defense can still be super fun
Celtics fan….
Proud of these young guns. Scored 100 in 40 minutes and kept the CSU under 70. Impressive. The second unit looked great too.
Bobby Jackson > Phil Jackson
