I consider the top 7 players all near-locks to be perennial all-stars. We may be headed for the best draft since ’03.
I hear ya…some interesting prospects, but I think historically that’s pretty tough to project especially with the pandemic and more limited viewing of these guys. 2017 draft (fox draft) was supposed to be great and top heavy and 3 of top 5 were bad to meh. Minus the rare slam dunk number #1 picks, it’s a bit of a crapshoot and always will be.

He came here pretty much as a consolation for addition by subtraction for getting rid of DMC and avoiding the huge DMC contract. Shaq was right about DMC last week even though he got shit for it. Buddy did a little to exceed expectations the first couple of years, but seems to be reverting to the mean now. I still wonder if he is impaired a bit by long COVID. His endurance and focus is not what it once was. I mean the focus regarding his shooting. His focus regarding BBIQ has always been questionable, reminiscent of Ben Mac.

Yeah unless he makes significant improvement there and is able to maintain an above average 3PT %, he’s capped at being a fringe all-star level player. The fact that his FT% is getting worse each year doesn’t give one optimism that he’ll suddenly jump into the 80+% range

I know that there’s lots of time til the deadline but every day that goes by without a trade makes me feel more and more that we didn’t just sell high on Buddy and Barnes a couple weeks ago :'(

I was really impressed by Bagley’s defensive effort against the Freak. It was in limited minutes. But. I liked it. That third foul against Bagley was ridiculous. Teams are finding out the freak has really been working on his FTs. Before, you could just hack him. 1/2 was the norm. Bucks are just too deep and well coached. Freak looked like a complete non factor with 20 pts in the first half. Middleton, Divencenzo, Forbes all contributing for the Bucks.

Almost all his pts came at the line. So, he wasn’t get his typical lobs, dunks and put backs. He’s just getting all the calls. Whether, it’s really a foul or not.
