Vlade Divac will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2019. Selected by the International Committee, Vlade will receive one of basketball’s highest honors for his contributions to the game both in the NBA and in FIBA.
Via the International Committee, Vlade Divac has been chosen for induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2019, sources tell ESPN. He’s one of seven NBA players with 13K points, 9K rebounds, 3K assists and 1,500 blocks. Divac had a storied FIBA career.

Vlade’s international play is a key factor in his induction. Notably, Vlade will enter the Hall before his Kings teammate Chris Webber, who was snubbed again this year. As ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski explains, this is due to the specifics of the selection process.
Remember, Divac and Webber are finalists in different categories. Webber, North American group; Divac, International. Every year, there's one international inductee slotted into Springfield. Divac's international resume is Hall-worthy on its own — even if he never came to NBA. https://t.co/AId38ikUr7

This is a great honor for Vlade. A a Kings legend as a player and now serving as the team’s GM, his induction should be a real joy for Kings fans. If you’re a Kings fan of a certain age, Vlade’s passing and his battles in the post against Shaquille O’Neal are a big part of what made you fall in love with the Kings.
Congratulations Vlade!
