According to the Vertical's Shams Charania, Curry has decided to test the waters of Free Agency following his breakout month and as such will decline his player option. As we noted earlier, this means Curry will be a restricted free agent and the Kings can match any offers.
This was a smart financial decision by Curry, as he was only set to make the NBA's minimum next season and will almost certainly receive more on the open market with the cap rising such a huge amount and many teams with cap space available.
