The Sacramento Kings have apparently been looking at strengthening their front office for a while now, looking to add some more expertise and experience to support GM Vlade Divac as he looks to rebuild the Kings. For a few weeks at least, we thought that addition would be former Pacers and Bucks exec. David Morway, but Adrian Wojnarowski reported the other day that a deal never came to fruition.
The Kings look to have gone in another direction, tapping Ken Catanella as their new Assistant GM, per a tweet by ESPN's Marc Stein. CSN's James Ham also confirmed that the two sides were nearing a deal to bring Catanella over from the Pistons, where he was working as the Director of Basketball Operations.
Catanella will be taking over for Mike Bratz as Assistant General Manager, but per Ham, Bratz will be re-assigned as Director of Scouting.

Just based on that information, he sounds like a perfect addition to the front office.
