The Sacramento Kings announced Sunday that they have waived Tyler Ulis and Hollis Thompson. Both players were on training camp deals, and are likely to play for the Stockton Kings this year unless another team claims them off waivers. Neither player had done much of note during the preseason, so this isn’t an unexpected series of moves.
What is surprising is the news that Tyler Lydon seems to have made the roster.
It appears that Tyler Lydon has made the Kings' roster.

Lydon played limited minutes in preseason and most expected him to end up being cut, but coach Luke Walton had mentioned there may be a surprise when it came to the final roster spot. There was speculation from fans it would be Wenyen Gabriel, who is currently in a two-way contract. It seems the Kings will keep him on the two-way deal, and have the opportunity to convert him to a full contract later in the year if they want.
We will continue to update with any other roster moves the Kings make before Monday’s cut down deadline.
