The Sacramento Kings have lost some disappointing games this season. On Wednesday, they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves by 10 points. Prior to Wednesday’s game, the Timberwolves had only won three games by 10 points, which isn’t surprising when you consider the fact that they have the fourth-worst net rating (-7.0) in the NBA.

In spite of letdowns like Wednesday, the Kings are only two games back of the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference, which is why it’s crucial that they take advantage of their matchup with the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. Not only are the Pistons one of the worst teams in the NBA with a record of 15-36, but they’ll be without their leading scorer, Jerami Grant, when they visit Sacramento on Thursday.

This four-game losing streak may have have turned some fans off to the idea of a playoff push, but they’re still very much in it and their schedule doesn’t get much harder from here on out. There’s 21 games left on the schedule; let’s see what these guys can do.
