The Sacramento Kings wrap up their six-game Eastern Conference road trip with a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Kings are coming off an embarrassing 24-point loss to the Philadelphia 76ers and should be motivated to come out strong against the Cavs.
Sacramento’s defense was a major issue against Philadelphia. The Sixers shot 55.8 percent from the field and controlled the glass with a 51-34 rebounding advantage.

The Kings never recovered from a dismal start against the 76ers. They should come out with energy to take advantage of a Cleveland team playing the second night of a back-to-back. The Cavs beat the Raptors on Sunday for just their second win over the previous seven games.
The point guard matchup will be a good one between De’Aaron Fox and Collin Sexton. Fox had an off-night against Philly but leads Sacramento in scoring (23.5) and assists (7.5). Sexton leads Cleveland in scoring at 23.9 points per game.
It’s a favorable matchup for the Kings’ defense. The Cavs are the lowest-scoring team in the league and have the second-worst 3-point shooting percentage. This bodes well for a Sacramento team that gives up 119.6 points per game, second-most in the NBA.
This is a game the Kings should win. Head coach Luke Walton’s job security looks to be in trouble, and if Sacramento continues its downward trend, we could see general manager Monte McNair make a change sooner than later.
