Quincy Acy named 2016 Teammate of the Year for the Sacramento Kings

The NBPA held their second annual Players Voice Awards today, with the winners being announced on social media. While no members of the Kings won any of the individual awards, each team was asked to vote for their Teammate of the Year. For the Sacramento Kings, that was Quincy Acy.

This comes as no surprise to me, as Acy was one of the team’s most fun personalities on and off the court. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and his bench reactions to what was going on the court were almost as good as the highlights themselves.

Like Greg and many other Kings fans, I too believe the Kings made a mistake in not re-signing Acy. I will miss watching him, both on and off the floor, and I have a feeling he’ll be in the running for Teammate of the Year in Dallas as well.

But it looks like the Kings are getting a couple good teammates of their own: both Anthony Tolliver and Garrett Temple won the award for their respective teams.
