After a disappointing end to their season, the Sacramento Kings find themselves back in the NBA Draft Lottery. The Kings have the 12th best odds (1.3%) to get the No. 1 selection after winning a coin flip tiebreaker over the New Orleans Pelicans, and also has a 6.2% chance to climb into the top four.
Point guard De’Aaron Fox will represent Sacramento at this year’s virtual NBA Draft Lottery, and the team is hoping he brings the same good fortune as he did in 2018 when Sacramento jumped up five spots to get the No. 2 selection.
Here are the complete odds for all of the lottery teams:
The 2020 NBA Draft class features guards Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and Killian Hayes, as well as big men James Wiseman and Onyeka Okongwu. Edwards is the consensus No. 1 pick, but if any of the other prospects can ball out during their individual workouts, that could certainly change between now and Oct. 20.
Over the past 12 lotteries, the Kings have fallen back five times, stayed put five times, and moved up twice. The last time Sacramento had the No. 1 pick was in 1989 when it selected Pervis Ellison.
