Markelle Fultz might not be walking through that door this weekend, but the Kings are still proceeding with their regularly scheduled workouts. Saturday’s workout is headlined by Texas Center Jarrett Allen, who will get a one-on-none session in the afternoon. Allen is currently projected to go somewhere in the mid-to-late first round with DraftExpress currently slotting him at 18th to the Pacers.
The first session will be a group workout, with SMU’s Semi Ojeleye being the clear standout. He’s a player the Kings could easily consider with their second round pick. He was last year’s AAC Player of the Year after transferring from Duke in 2015. He will be joined by St. Mary’s Joe Rahon, Loyola’s Milton Doyle, Texas A&M Corpus Christie’s Rashawn Thomas, BYU’s Eric Mika and Central Florida’s Matt Williams. Of the rest of those prospects, only Mika is ranked among DX’s Top 100 prospects.
The NBA Draft will take place in a little less than two weeks on June 22nd.
