The Sacramento Kings made their signing of Corey Brewer official on Tuesday. Shams Charania of The Athletic first reported the signing on Monday.

Brewer celebrated the announcement by the team with a tweet:

While the terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, it’s safe to assume Brewer will be with the team for the remainder of the season given the unique circumstances the NBA is going to resume play under. Brewer reportedly had offers from other teams, but decided to sign with Sacramento because of his familiarity with the team and their head coach, Luke Walton, who he played under during the 2017-18 season.

Brewer’s last stint in the NBA was with the Kings. In the 24 games Brewer played for the Kings, he averaged 4.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. Brewer also posted the highest Defensive Box Plus-Minus (+1.6) of anyone on the team that played more than 20 games.

Prior to his stint with the Kings, Brewer played seven games with the Philadelphia 76ers. For his career, Brewer, 34, has averaged 8.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

With the signing of Brewer, the Kings’ roster stands at 17, which is the maximum number of players a team can carry for the season. If Sacramento decides to make additional changes to their roster, they’ll have to do it before the transaction window closes on June 30 at 11:59 p.m. The transaction window opened on Tuesday, June 23.
