It’s difficult to know what to make of this right now. Does Porter have a promise? Is his back a bigger concern and his camp didn’t want the medical evaluation to happen? Is it simply being rescheduled? We have no clue.
Without the medical examination, it’s difficult to imagine the Kings taking Porter with the second pick.
We’ll continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
Update: Sam Amick is reporting that the workout will be rescheduled. It remains unclear why the workout was cancelled.
There’s a very real chance the Kings would take Michael Porter Jr. at No. 2, but it’s unclear how the canceling of the Friday workout in Chicago might impact the process. They want more intel on medical and another look. Teams are being told that the workout will be rescheduled.
