The second-year big won’t have a shot to represent the red, white and blue in the FIBA World Cup.

Sacramento’s second-year big Marvin Bagley has decided to withdraw from Team USA, per Marc Stein of the New York Times.

After beating out Bam Adebayo and Thaddeus Young to earn an invite from the Select Team to join the national squad in Los Angeles a few days ago, Stein lists Bagley’s decision to focus on the upcoming season as his reason to drop out, just as many other players have previously.

The Kings still have two players in the current mix of 16 to represent their country in Harrison Barnes and De’Aaron Fox, who has soared since joining Team USA.
