For Your Consideration
It feels like it’s been forever since we’ve had an actual game together thanks to the longer All-Star break, but it’s only been 8 days. The final stretch of the season will see the Kings at home a lot more, with 8 of their next 9 games at home, starting tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Kings beat the Thunder earlier this year at Golden 1 Center, but since then Oklahoma City has started to figure things out and is gunning for the 3rd seed down the stretch. Russell Westbrook and Paul George are playing great basketball, and Carmelo Anthony has settled into his role as a very good Plan C.
The Kings will welcome back Frank Mason and Skal Labissiere to the rotation after injuries shut them down for a long time before the All-Star break. Mason hasn’t played at all in the year 2018, and is likely to be on a minutes restriction. De’Aaron Fox is questionable with conjunctivitis (a.k.a pinkeye) so we could be seeing a lot of Bogdan Bogdanovic and Garrett Temple running the point.
Draft Dreams: We’re gonna be losing lots of games going forward, so when I see something worth sharing about anyone on our draft radar, I’ll share it here so we can remember the positive part of being such a terrible team.
Now up to bat, Triple J himself.
Prediction:
Bogdan proves his Rising Stars MVP wasn’t a fluke on his way to his first 40 point game as he routinely jukes Paul George out of his shorts.
Kings 109, Thunder 104
