The Sacramento Kings will go to Seattle and play in Key Arena…for a preseason game. This exceptionally strange and bad idea is very likely to happen, according to the Sacramento Bee’s Ailene Voisin.

The Kings are working on scheduling a preseason game next season in … Seattle! I have no idea who the opponent would be, but according to my sources, this is going to happen.

The nost likely opponent would be the Portland Trail Blazers, but the NBA could really troll Seattle by sending the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Why would the Kings want to go into Seattle for a preseason game? I have no idea. I would love the rivalry of Kings/Sonics if/when the Sonics are back, but for now it just seems very strange.

Hopefully talks aren’t as far along as reported and the Kings will realize the bad optics at play here.
