What a crazy finish!

It looked the Sacramento Kings were going to lose a close one, but miracles do happen.

The Cavs led by a single point with 1.6 seconds to go and the Kings had the ball on their own baseline, setting up this buzzer-beating attempt.

De’Aaron Fox threw a perfect pass to Harrison Barnes, who hit the shot as time expired, giving Sacramento a 100-98 win.

It looked the Kings’ three-game winning streak was going to be snapped when center Richaun Holmes was called for a goaltend against Collin Sexton with less than two seconds left on the clock.

But head coach Luke Walton dialed up the right play to set up Barnes’ game-winning shot.

Fox, who is one of the most clutch players in the league this season, dropped 20 points in the fourth quarter, which gave Sacramento the opportunity to win its fourth game in a row. The point guard led the way with 36 points and six assists, while Barnes finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Terence Davis had six points, Delon Wright finished with four, while Mo Harkless went scoreless in their debuts with the Kings. Sacramento’s bench only combined to score 15 points in this one.

The Kings started slow but came back with an 11-0 run to take a 24-19 just over eight minutes into the first quarter.

Head coach Luke Walton’s bench players came in and showed what they could do. Wright and Davis each scored their first buckets in a Sacramento uniform and helped the Kings take a 31-29 lead after one.

Sacramento was sharp on the defensive end in the first half, holding Cleveland to 44.2 percent shooting. But the Kings struggled on the offensive end. They missed all six of their attempts from beyond the arc and shot just 2-of-8 from deep over the first two quarters.

On top of that, Sacramento turned the ball over nine times, which resulted in 12 Cleveland points, but the Kings held a slim 49-48 lead at the break.

The two teams stayed neck-and-neck through the third quarter. The Cavs outscored Sacramento 26-22 in the period and took a 74-71 lead in the fourth.

Since Marvin Bagley III got hurt, the Kings have won six of seven games and are very much in the playoff hunt going into the stretch drive of the season. Sacramento is only a game behind the Golden State Warriors for the second play-in spot. If the Kings continue this level of play, they will certainly climb even further up the Western Conference standings.

Sacramento will now play a back-to-back against the San Antonio Spurs which begins on Monday.
