The Sacramento Kings’ frontcourt rotation will look very different next season. After letting Alex Len and Harry Giles go in free agency, the Kings added another replacement piece by signing Frank Kaminsky to a one-year contract.

Kaminsky played 39 games for the Phoenix Suns last season, averaging 9.7 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 33.1% from deep. The 27-year-old gives head coach Luke Walton a big man that can help space the floor on the offense with his range.

Defensively, Kaminsky doesn’t provide much rim-protection but is sound positionally. The Suns gave up 1.9 fewer points per 100 possessions with Kaminsky on the court.

General manager Monte McNair continues to put his finishing touches on the roster. With Len and Giles out of the picture, Sacramento will have Kaminsky, Richaun Holmes and recently signed veteran Hassan Whiteside as its big men.

Kaminsky is the best shooter of the trio, connecting on 34.7% of his 3-point attempts over his five-year NBA career. Each of the three bigs on the roster brings their unique skillset, so Walton will have different options when matching up with opposing teams.
