De’Aaron Fox out against Brooklyn

Fox’s quad contusion will hold him out against the Nets

De’Aaron Fox will miss Wednesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. The Sacramento Kings point guard has been dealing with a quad contusion, and left Tuesday’s game early after attempting to play. According to various reports, Fox didn’t suffer an additional injury, but wasn’t able to get good lift against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Fox is averaging 9.4 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game this season.

Resting Fox tonight makes sense after his quad wasn’t 100% against the Sixers. After tonight’s game the Kings return to Sacramento and don’t play again until Saturday when they’ll host the San Antonio Spurs. Hopefully that gives Fox plenty of rest and he can return full strength.

The Kings expect to have George Hill back against the Nets, and we may see some heavy minutes for Frank Mason. Mason scored 16 points off the bench on Tuesday, and plenty of Kings fans have hoped to see him get more minutes.
