2016 Sacramento Kings Summer League Roster Announced

By | 0 Comments | Mar 6, 2019

The Sacramento Kings have announced their 2016 Summer League roster and it looks to be one of the more fun rosters in a few years. The Kings will have up to five players that could be on the main squad on the team, and it will also be our look at some talent that we will likely see in Reno.

The roster is as follows:

C: Willie Cauley-Stein, Georgios Papagiannis, Arturas Gudaitis, Adam Woodburry

F: Skal Labissiere, Luka Mitrovic, Duje Dukan, Jarrod Uthoff, Derrick Jones, Elgin Cook

G: Isaiah Cousins, Ricky Ledo, Josh Hagins, Retin Obasohan

For those wondering about Malachi Richardson, who the Kings traded Marco Belinelli for, James Ham has you covered:

Some of you might recognize Arturas Gudaitis and Luka Mitrovic as the two players that the Kings acquired from Philadelphia in last year's infamous cap dumping trade. This will be the first time Gudaitis and Mitrovic get to show their skills in an NBA setting.

Unlike last year, where Duje Dukan and Eric Moreland turned a good summer league and training camp into an actual NBA contract, I think it's unlikely that the Kings will be signing anyone off of this roster. The team is already at 15 roster spots. However, some may get invited to training camp, and the final cuts of training camp could be assigned to the Reno Bighorns, from where the Kings can monitor their growth (although any team will be able to sign them). Both Gudaitis and Mitrovic will likely rejoin their European teams after Summer League.

Sacramento's first game in Vegas is this Friday, July 8th.
