Welcome to the start of our annual prediction contest! It costs nothing to play and this year there’s an actual prize! The winner of the Prediction Contest will receive a free item of their choice from our online store, as well as a special badge next to their username forever denoting their victory. Last year’s winner was Yakshi! Can you unseat him?
Before each game (well, most games, I do forget or run out of time sometimes, I’m not perfect), a contest post will be put up. Submissions are required before game time to be counted.
But for now, let’s get the party started with some season-long predictions! Submissions are permissible until game-time tomorrow so if you want in on the contest, send in your answers! Each of these questions will be worth 3 points for a correct answer.
I see……I……seeeeeeee…………………………

Ah, forget it!

Here we gooooooooo! I need to claim my third Nostradumbass championship!
LeKlam came out flexing!

And coming out smokin’…
There must’ve been a different gif available. 🙁
Afraid that isn’t going to happen you are too pessimistic with your predictions and that isn’t going to work out this year.
If you win, I’ll take you out for breakfast. Promise.
Hoping to claim my 1st championship!
Totally unrelated and this proves I’m a lazy potato but can we get an article or someone have the facts of all the teams or recent teams that have gone from 30th or even bottom 5 in defense to top 15 the next year?
Just to see how unlikely it is? Thanks, if not it’s ok too. ????
This is my year to complete the bifecta of Nostradumbass of the Year and TKH Fantasy Champion.
Bring it.
Me doing research for these predictions:

Me, happy that the season is starting:
My expectations this year through the moment I remember Luke Walton is still the head coach:

(Billy Joel was driving the truck!)
…….Me going all in on this Kings team:
Me thinking about this team winning mid 30-odd games yet again, with the same roster and coach as the last two years.

I’m extremely bad at keeping up on the predictions for every game BUT might as well fill this one out!
Also, the poll question about our first win really made me realize how ugly the start could be. If we don’t win against Portland then we might really be in trouble.

The King has spoken!

Bag Bomb!
His people do not serve him well at all.
His people cost him about $100m at present.
Bagley certainly holds plenty and probably most of the responsibility here, but the front office has to share some of the blame. There were blaring warning lights on this for more than a year, and the Kings ignored them. And now they’ve blown up whatever value he had, and that they passed on, by sticking their thumb up their butt too long. Sure, they can anchor him to the bench and let him sit all year, but that benefits no one. They should have just dealt him when they could and that was obvious about the second time Bagley’s dad sounded off about one thing or another.
Sure, but this tweet is from an agent that screwed up and is seeing the dollars fly, fly away!
I chose 31-35 wins this season, because I think that by the time they drop the axe on Walton, the team will be too far in the hole to get past it. With even an average NBA coach, I wouldn’t absolutely rule out a win tally in the low forties.
By alas, here we are again.
My biggest worry, is that somehow the Kings will win forty games, and extend Walton. It would come down to whether or not McNair could talk Ranadive out of it. A GM has got to have his own coach, or at least someone that could be a difference-maker. A positive difference, wisenheimers.
I’ll go with 40 wins, just so I can represent my mental age bracket.
With nothing more than my forty two years of NBA fandom (I know I have nothing on ElRon), I think McNair has seemed confident that the team underperformed last year, thus little turnover and his holding onto Buddy until he gets a deal he really likes. My issue is very much what you stated above, that Walton is a substandard NBA Head Coach. I will fully admit that I have always disliked Walton, my constant refrain from his playing days was that he was the worst player in the NBA to get that many minutes. That being said, I feel like he is destined to always under perform, and crossing my fingers we can have an end sometime before the all-star break and have someone else come in, trade Buddy for a wing on a team that needs shooting, and we can make a sprint towards the play-in and sneak into the playoffs and have a clear idea of who is a keeper for 2022-2023.
He’s destined to underperform, because he’s never, not once, been required to do anything more.
Legacy hires continue to destroy this country at every level, even all the way down to something as frivolous as sport.

Andy Sims’ contrarian comments on other King Fan’s posts.
It will not impact my behavior, but this feels low.
