Due to recent activity we are including link to the Threadiquette post and highlighting a couple relevant rules in Game Threads. The below is not all-inclusive.
No Trolling
Trolling, simply put, is commenting to create arguments. That is different than commenting to create discussion. Trolling is also when you post the same complaint over and over in each thread regardless of what that thread is about. For example, if you comment in every thread about how the Kings should have drafted Player X instead of Player Y, even when the threads are about Player B, you’re just trolling. Trolling also includes complaining about specific commenters in a thread where they haven’t said a word. Constant complaining about a troll invites them to respond, so don’t do it.
Don’t troll.
You are not a moderator
One of the benefits of participating in our comments is that you are not burdened with the task of being a moderator. This means it is not your job to tell people how to be a fan. It is not your place to tell someone when they’re breaking a rule. It is not your place to discuss your agreements or disagreements with the site rules.
If you see something you feel is inappropriate, flag it and move on. Flagging comments make it much easier for us to see issues, especially in big threads, and we will handle the comments as warranted.
No personal attacks
If you disagree with someone, that’s fine. Disagreements are healthy and a big reason why discussing sports are fun. But if you resort to name calling or insulting people, that violates site rules.

Go Kings!
Monk in the starting line up?! Wait, what?! Is MB okay?
Early results with Monk in the starting lineup:
This might be the five.
It makes all kinds of sense. No need to wait on a spark when there is not a fire.
Monk starting! Love it!
Good looking rotation so far!
Guess Brown needs to call the players out after every game!
Derozan with the fast paced ISOs, and defense leading to buckets.
People that look like contributors: Fox, Domas, DeRozan, Monk, Keegan, Ellis, I. Jones
As far as I’m concerned, you can trade everyone else.
So the spare parts that aren’t good. Sucks that they won’t get much in return for those guys.
Huerter + Lyles + 1st for a Collins or Cam? Huerter + 1st for DFS? If Carter looks like a ballplayer when he’s healthy, then this team may still just be one smooth shooting forward away from contention.
They just don’t have many 1st rounders to give away, and I don’t know of those guys are worthy of a 1st. But the options are limited
no thanks,
Issac Jones is looking great! Wish he could have got more minutes sooner in the season!
He’s got incredible touch around the rim. Makes a lot of shots through contact.
Looks much more effective than Lyles did. He hustles and plays hard.
“Along came Isaac Jones” – Mark Jones.
Fox is having his All-NBA season. The one thing about the Kings I am absolutely thrilled by so far.
Fox has an opportunity to finally step up and lead this team. Build a lead and feed the ball to Keegan to get him going. Be a leader. Build your team.
Brown’s rotation went off the rails for a bit there. Kings playing some solid defense but it’s not consistent.
Defense needs to built into this teams culture somehow.
“I know the Kings have a good dental program, but that probably doesn’t make Sabonis feel too much better right now.” – Mark Jones
My eyes tell me the Kings build a lead when Wemby is on the bench.
My math tells me that the next quarter is the dreaded 3rd quarter.
Still a lot of open threes for opposing team.
It’s still the main story with this team. Spurs are hitting 54% from three, Kings are 35%.
Isaac Jones is a baaaad man!!!
that put-back dunk was nasty
Gotta hit some threes this quarter. We’re not gonna stop them from shooting 50% from three. We can’t shoot low 30s% or worse and expect to win.
Wasn’t that travelling on Wemby?
Here come the touch fouls.
Why can just flail those long ass arms and smack people in the face, no call.
good challenge
Well, the officiating went into the toilet. The refs are so inconsistent with calls on picks.
The Kings have to find their 3 point shot. Dominating paint points and 2nd chance points and only a tie game.
They’re not going to put together a string of wins until they start playing better defense.
Completely disagree. 3 point shooting is the more concerning issue.
Well the Kings shot 37.5% from three and lost a 17 point lead.
Kings just gave up 50% from the field and 50% from 3
The Kings themselves shot the league average from 2 and from 3 at 46% and 37%
It’s the defense.
Yep, was just going to add that the Spurs shot 50% from three. The Kings must have the worst 3 pt defense in the league right?
They allow the 2nd most 3 (14.8 per game) makes at the 4th worst percentage defending (37.6%) as of yesterday.
They have never been a good 3 point defensive team. That’s not a surprise. Kings outscored opponents in 22-23. They aren’t constructed as a defensive team so why you expecting those results? Lol….this team built to score and they are not doing that.
No. Keegan 41% in 22-23. 36% in 23-24. 28% in 24-25. 0% tonight. Huerter even worse. Lyles down. Demar offers no shooting. It’s the offense.
I’m sorry, but you can’t give up 50% from the field, 64% from 2, and 50% from three and blame the offense on the loss, especially when you just scored 125 points and shot the league averages.
It’s the defense.
Okay Mike Brown. Stop switching guards onto Wemby!!!! For f sake
Same old shit every game. Opponent shoots close to 50% from 3 and we shoot low 30s of we’re lucky. Stick a fork in this team, they’re done.
Major changes need to happen. Jordi was clearly the brains of the operation. The staff and roster need changes.
I skipped the game. I decided to do something useful and went for a run. Looking at the box score and stats it is time to start Isaac over Keegan.
How did it end?
Standard ISO Fox and turnovers?
Malik was very upset in the post-game presser. He dropped the F bomb. He’s pissed at the Kings’ three point defense. Is Fox upset?
Watched that as well.
Remember when Halliburton was taking the heat in the post game pressers and Fox was not talking to the Media?
Fox is not a leader.
I had forgotten about that! It’s irritated me at times when Fox says (and he’s said it multiple times) that he doesn’t let the games bother him or think about them when he’s at home. I don’t expect people to have to take their work home, but the way Fox puts it, it doesn’t sound right. He’s not a winner and it shows in different ways. Awesome player who puts up great stats, but not a super max guy that will really step up and fight when the time comes.
One of the biggest issues with Fox and his career is that he only knows the Kings. He never had winners around him to teach him. He was anointed as the man before he even was on a team that went .500.
