Light Labeam!!!
Let’s go 3s and uhh.. some D!
Don’t need to worry about Kings legend KH having an 0-fer in the 1st half!
lol yes such an afterthought.. hope he does well in new environment
With Fox gone, no player remains on the roster from the day McNair took over. McNairs first full iteration of the roster is finally complete. Nobody could ever say he hasnt been given time to prove himself. I believe by seasons end it will be fair to render judgement on his work.
I was hoping LaVine would come out hot like Fox did today, but guess he needs more time to gel.
Ha! He started scoring right after I hit send.
Magic have a massive size advantage, we’re leaving them wide in the paint and they’re getting layups
Sabonis has such an extra spring in his step, that it makes me wonder if he’s happy to have Fox gone. Really interesting…
Yeah, was hearing some negative undertones from players since the trade. Also, saw people talking that DeRozan & Ellis vs Fox, all unfollowed each other on socials.
Isaac Jones getting some early minutes. Also interesting…final audition for a full contract?
Lavine is such a quick, twitchy player, if he can get comfortable he’s kinda the platonic ideal of a player in this offense
He will, but man, he’s really out of sorts at the moment. Going to need a little time to sort this out, but I do like the combination of talent on the floor at the moment.
This is also going to force Malik to grow even more. He was already trending towards being a better distributor and spacer this season. Now they’ll need even more of that from him.
Starting lineup still has too many cooks and not enough length and defense. Itll be important to mix Keon, Carter, Jones, and Lyles with the scorers.
Agreed. While the Kings may need to start the “best” 5 for a variety of reasons, early subs with this group is going to be important to keep the right mix on the floor as much as possible.
Gave up 37. Need to outshoot Orlando
Great challenge by Doug. Coaches didn’t even have the video yet. They were going off big screen replay.
keon might be this generation of Tony Allen
W a consistent 3
anyway not feeling this new look team lol
Dunkin’ Domas!
I like seeing the Kings turning defense into offense
With all these wing scorers running PnR and DHOs, Domas could have his usage spike. He might sleepwalk into 30 point triple doubles
DDR just dislocated his pinky.
Popped it back in and he is good to go!
I like the Kings chances heading into the half. Seemingly hit their stride on defense in the second quarter.
I think they settle down and make adjustments to get Lavine going.
Kings look out of sorts to start the 3rd.
Turnover after turnover
Kayte with “good turnover” again. Ugh
I think she said “the best thing about that turnover was that it’s a dead ball turnover”
Well. This is fun.
All that fight and effort in the 2nd quarter is quickly erased.
It turns out when you have no length, teams with length beat you
Um Kayte, it’s not the arena. That’s not why bad shooting teams get hot in G1. Lol.
Great idea guys, just keep leaving Wagner wide open from 3
Another good idea: have Monk guard him.
Knock Franz on his ass please.
Wagner with plenty of time
Same 3rd quarter Kangz
Medium IQ 3pt defense?
Damn son she talks over everything. It is absolutely incredible.
How many offensive rebounds do the Magic have?
5
Damn, feels like more. All of their second chance points have felt massive
13 turnovers on travels and bad passes is killing the Kings. Magic also shooting 12-22 from 3. Kings are 7-16. Those two things are why this a 21 point deficit
Aside from the Magic going crazy offensively despite being a bad offensive team, this trade deadline has also been very crazy. Man, there goes Ingram.
When Anthony Black and Franz Wagner are 8-12 from 3…come on fellas.
It’s just amazing how opposing teams shoot when they visit G1. It must be a shooters arena says Kayte.
and the question persists: should the Kings start Keon when opponents get sooooo comfortable that it’s like shooting practice in an open gym?
0-3 to start the Lavine era seems about how I expected to go.
At least Jonas will contribute to the Kings not getting punked. The Kings are soft. I hope Monte can acquire another player tomorrow who is tough and has an attitude.
I’m surprised Wagner hasn’t been hit by a hard flagrant yet. Make him clear the cobwebs at least once.
we don’t need tough with an attitude. we need someone to play defense lmao. Even Jonas doesn’t play defense. Its going to be layup lanes when they play Jonas and Domas together lol lol
Fucking Fox in that 3rd qtr., man!
Hasn’t driven to rim all game!
He disappeared like usual
0 turnovers baby
Yeah, but he has 0 assists—he’s not making his teammates better
It doesn’t matter. It’s not going to make anyone feel better.
Time to raise the ticket prices Vivek! Kings/Spurs tickets increased by three times in the last few days.
Zach Lavine isn’t increasing any ticket prices, unfortunately. He’s the anti-playoff contributor
Vivek is. Prices increased by three times for the G1 Kings/Spurs game in March.
Sounds like a good time to sell mine.
We have bunch of buddy yield ball handlers
Domas has basically done nothing in the 2nd half. Keegan is 1-4.
Magic are shooting 42-72 from the field. Kings are 30-58. That’s a massive difference in shot attempts. Stop turning the ball over!
Not even trying to get 3pt shots up either.
This entire Vivek era-starting w trading Hali is anti intuative. Non 3 point shooters in a shooting league
They just traded away a bad 3pt shooter for a top 5 3pt shooter…
True. And I do like that. But overall they still have Domas/DDR. You can’t have more than 1 no. Shooter
Domas is 3rd in 3pt% this season. He just doesn’t shoot enough of them.
Maybe. Let’s see it in playoffs. In crunch time.
Yeah, we’re not gonna see it in the playoffs.
Amd I was talking about Viveks whole tenure. Building around non shooters
Yeah, like the last 8 years with Fox? Vivek does suck. I wish there a way to give him a vote of no confidence and oust him.
Me too. And I guess gotta hope somehow this works but seems like Vivek in the anchor keeping this team down -always and forever .
Keegan got a shot attempt
You can’t run a free flow O and have 3/4 others guys on the floor that want the ball and have Keegan get shots.
It’s just stupid. It’s a team. Not a bunch of individuals -mismatched- runnin around that wins
This is gonna be the same shit as before. The owner won’t pay and won’t allow
for a rebuild. Got too many ball dominant non defenders. Not enough 3 point shooters. Etc etc etc.
I still don’t think this team is going anywhere because they still need to move DDR etc and get 3 and D wings.
We’ll see but I hate this owner. Rinse and repeat.
Monte should be testing the market on Sabonis too.
For sure. But he won’t. I mean, we’ll see what happens, but if you saw this roster on another team, would you think they would be any good?
Midling at best. Unless they are contenders what’s the fucking point
This roster is not any good on this team.
My frustration is the foundation is rotten because of Vivek. I’m dubious that they can build a contender.
With Vivek as an owner, I don’t expect anything but an occasional play in appearance
Edit:christ my phone keyboard sucks as bad as this roster
Foundation is rotten with Vivek, that’s true. But the actual roster is massively capped. Sure, they have some good individual players and have a 35-40 win floor. But there is no ceiling and 0% chance of doing anything in the playoffs / playin. They have a regular season roster. They do nothing that wins playoff games.
It’d be sweet to target defenders instead of shooters one day.
Or to target 3 point shooters who move the ball.
Damn this is embarrassing . Kings now have no point guard in addition to no size and no rim protection.
Monk and LaVine look like garbage.
Monk got in early foul trouble and never got in rhythm.
Well, that’s certainly a nice big dump in the vibes bowl.
Keeping up with the Jones!
Isaac Jones getting meaningful minutes tells you everything you need to know about how bad this team is.
He played almost all his minutes when the team got down by 30 in the 4th. He came in earlier for like 2 minutes.
Not just tonight. That was more of an “in general” comment
Fakers just traded for a good player
Vivek is still delusional to win now.
One day we will too, eventually. Not under Monte’s watch though.

starting 5 got waxed
Lavine will be exciting to watch at times. I’ll give him a pass tonite. No practice,
etc etc.
But I also think his numbers will drop dramatically regardless.’
Lavine was the only option in Chicago and number 2, the East is not the West. His defense is a bad as advertised. Too many players that need the ball and zero
balance. Franz and Paolo absolutely decimated the Kings. The Magic’s defensive discipline was 48.
Demar and Lavine are great offensive players. Unfortunately they are not winning players.
The team doesn’t really have a true PG now. For all the trash talking on Fox, he was playing some above average D all year.
That minus shows up big tonite.
The lack of D and length. This team is boxed in now. This is what they are rolling with for the next 2-3
seasons. Unless they move DDR in the offseason. This is your Sac Kings.
The team has a ceiling of play in, maybe a first round exit. If they get lucky.
When you allow a 28th ranked offense to go off for 130. And this has been all yr. Not just tonite. You’re nowhere near contending for anything.
All these ballstoppers are hurting Keegan’s growth. Only took 6 shots lol. Plus he’s the only defender in the starting lineup. Pls, Doug, have the balls to start Keon
