With 33.7% of the vote, Ziaire Williams takes the 11th spot on the Kings Herald Draft Board. He joins James Bouknight, Alperen Åengün, Franz Wagner, Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, Scottie Barnes, Jalen Suggs, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley and Cade Cunningham.
When a choice comes up, pick who you’d want the Kings to pick given all the players remaining. Note: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is a draft board, a ranked list of prospects you’d like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we’d take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Monte McNair or anyone else would choose in a slot.
Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick’s choices.
This poll ends at 7 AM tomorrow. The next one will begin shortly thereafter. We will go roughly 20 picks deep.
Kai Jones, because I read the excellent profile at TKH yesterday. Plus position of need and so forth.
Thank you, bud!
Keon Johnson. Take a shot on athleticism, defense, and offensive potential.
Jalen Johnson is my pick. Strong upside on both ends and great positional fit for the Kings. Not sure we’re the right place for him to actually reach that potential, but aside from Kai Jones, I think his ceiling is the highest left on the board.
Went Davion Mitchell since he’s the last player remaining I can say with high confidence will be a starting caliber player. There may be some with higher ceilings, but everyone else has enough questions around them that I’d rather just take a really solid prospect like Mitchell rather than swing and miss on Keon, Jalen Johnson, or Kai.
Going with Jalen Johnson. In this late in the draft, I think he’s worth the risk.
Most of the players left have some intriguing upside but require lots of development. Do we lean fit or upside? I guess I like Keon Johnson the best.
At this point, I’d take Garuba due to his potential to be an elite defender.
