The Sacramento Kings are signing Emanuel Terry to an Exhibit 10 contract, as reported Wednesday afternoon by Kings Insider for NBC Sports James Ham. Terry will join the team in Sacramento at the end of September for training camp.

In The California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League, Terry brought a sense of hustle to the court every time he touched the floor. Terry excelled in catching lobs, protecting the rim, getting offensive rebounds and being a constant source of energy.

In Las Vegas, Terry averaged 7.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, but the stats don’t tell the whole story. Terry’s best game in summer league came in the California Classic against the Lakers, when he finished with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Terry’s game sort of resembles current Kings’ center Richaun Holmes from an athleticism and energy perspective.

Terry’s most natural position on the court is center, where Sacramento already features Holmes, Tristan Thompson, Alex Len, Damian Jones, Chimezie Metu and Neemias Queta as players competing for minutes at that spot.

It’s hard to imagine Terry cracking the Kings' actual roster come opening night, given their frontcourt depth. Regardless, Terry seems like a great culture guy that the Kings will be happy to have around to compete in their program.

Terry will likely be a constant fixture in the frontcourt for the Stockton Kings during the 2021-22 season. With the Kings signing Terry to this deal, they now have his G-League rights and also the flexibility to convert the deal to a two-way deal down the line.
