Sacramento Kings shooting guard Kevin Huerter will miss the remainder of the season, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Woj cites his source as being Huerter’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, and says Huerter will undergo surgery to repair his torn labrum.

This was the fear and the expectation when it was announced that Huerter’s injury was not just a dislocation, but also included the labrum tear. A dislocation alone could have been enough to take Huerter out for the year (look no further than how long Julius Randle has been out), but the tear made it all but a certainty.
The good news from the report is the statement that Huerter is expected to make a full recovery for next season.
The Kings have not provided an additional update since March 21st. We will update as appropriate if anything further is announced.
We send our best wishes to Kevin. Get better soon.
It’ll be telling to see if they actually need him. I love Huerter and think his shooting is important when he’s on, but seems like the team isn’t better with him on the court unless he’s on fire.
Since going out with injury (counting the his last game in which he played two minutes) the Kings are 4-2. In the 6 games before he was hurt…the Kings were 4-2.
Time will tell.
Bummer for Kev. Will that open a slot we could sign someone to? Forkan Korkmaz is banging around out there. Maybe see if Terrance Davis wants to come back. Just saying.
Kings can’t sign anyone that can play in the playoffs, and no one in the short term since their roster is full. It is what it is.
Unfortunate, but expected. Get well Kevin.
I’ve got a labrum tear, so I know how vexing it can be.
I mean, look at my shooting percentages. I haven’t shot over thirty-five percent from three in an NBA game since it happened.
Yeah I remember when it happened. Brutal collision.
Get Well soon Red Velvet! Fix that non shooting (L) arm.
In the meantime, never gonna give you up!

As respectful as I can be, I dont think this will move the needle on our season either way and I expect to see him next in action on a different team
I don’t either. And if Vez and Trey are healthy, the Kings won’t even miss Huerter on O. Especially under pressure. Their D is better and will be better in playoffs without Kev. He was targeted.
I hope he heals up but too bad Monte never got a trade for him. Next season, his value may be down.
