Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox is listed as Questionable to play in Saturday’s matchup against the Orlando Magic, according to the latest injury report. Fox missed Wednesday’s game against the Miami Heat after suffering a bone bruise against the Charlotte Hornets on Halloween.
The injury was never expected to be serious, with Fox going through a full warm up before the Heat game. The Sacramento Bee’s Jason Anderson reported earlier on Friday that Fox was a full participant in Friday’s team workout:
According to a league source, De'Aaron Fox was a full participant in practice today as the Sacramento Kings prepare to play the Orlando Magic on Saturday. Fox missed Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat with a bone bruise in his right knee.

All signs point to Fox returning to action against the Magic, barring a setback or residual soreness following today’s practice.
Fox has been off to a great start to this season. Before the Charlotte game (in which Fox played just 8 minutes), De’Aaron Fox was averaging 27.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists on the season.
The Kings currently sit at 2-5 for the year, and the Orlando Magic are one of the few “should-win” games in Sacramento’s early schedule. The Magic are currently 2-7, but can’t be overlooked. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner have kept the Magic interesting and scrappy despite their record. Having Fox back would certainly help Sacramento’s chances at leaving with a win.
That’s a good sign! I’ve seen some people on Kings Twitter argue that Fox should rest against the Magic and be fully healthy when playing the Warriors. Probably because the Magic are seen as a weaker opponent atm. I disagree with the resting bit; the Kings are not good enough yet to put out a weakened squad against any team. I hope he plays.
Yeah I think it should be based on how he feels. If he’s feeling fine, let him play. If he’s still sore, rest him.
If Fox was a full participant in practice, and knowing Fox, I have a feeling he’ll get into today’s game somehow. If the knee acts up, sit him down.
The Kings can’t afford to look back on a game such as today with any regrets. And yes, they’re just not good enough to rest their best player as a precaution. I expect Fox to at least test his knee against the Magic.
Good news, but I won’t be mad if he sits. A bone bruise doesn’t stop being painful after just a few days. even if the mobility has returned. I hope whenever he gets back he’s wearing some padding on his leg elbows.
The padding makes him a perennial all star and first ballot hall of fame inductee.
Do you have any optimism in that great big heart of yours?
Tons actually.
Good. Would love to see Fox playing basketball again soon.
