The Sacramento Kings announced Thursday that they are once again hosting the California Classic at Golden 1 Center. This year’s event will be held August 3rd and 4th, and will feature the Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors, and the Miami Heat.
We are excited to once again host fans in full capacity for the California Classic at Golden 1 Center, said Sacramento Kings Owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadive. “In addition to the high energy games we have come to expect from the Classic, fans will enjoy world-class entertainment and community activations.
Season Ticket holders will have early access to buy tickets starting today, July 8th. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning July 12th.
I’m happy to see the California Classic returning. A small summer league tournament doesn’t showcase the highest level of basketball that the NBA has to offer, but it’s still a fun opportunity to get a first look at rookies and young players trying to earn an NBA roster spot. The fact that Kings fans can enjoy an event like this without leaving Sacramento is fantastic.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why aren’t the Clippers in the California Classic?
I think because Vivek doesn’t want Ballmer sitting next to him on the sideline.
Ballmer or Balls!, More!
You want Mad Ants? Because this is how you get Mad Ants.
Miami, California? The “heat” makes sense, though!
Your Sacramento Kings: It’s not the Heat, it’s the Humility.
Heat…the Kings organization knows a thing or two about that…
Nice of the Kings to invite some real teams to play in Sacramento.
