The Sacramento Kings announced Friday that Matthew Dellavedova has suffered a fractured finger and will be out indefinitely. From the Kings official release:
The Sacramento Kings announced today that guard Matthew Dellavedova sustained a right index finger fracture during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game versus the Portland Trailblazers. Treatment options are being considered. At this time, there is no timetable for Dellavedova’s return and updates will be given when appropriate.
With just over a week left in the regular season, Delly will likely miss some or all of the playoffs. As the third string point guard, Delly’s importance this season has been more about his locker room presence than his on court play, but he’s proven he’s still a capable backup when needed.
The Kings can still sign a free agent before the playoffs begin, and that player would be playoff-eligible as long as they weren’t on another NBA roster after March 1st of this year. It’ll be interesting to see if the Kings make an additional move at this point.
In the meantime, may the healing power of the Beam provide Delly with a quick recovery.

It’s an opporrunity to plug Delly’s spot with a 3rd string PG with experience. We can never tell with injuries especially to Foxy at this stage in the season. I’m thinking Trey Burke or Quinn Cook wherever he may be.
