After the last game, I feel compelled to add a link to the Threadiquette post and to highlight a couple rules here. What I’m including below is not all-inclusive.
No Trolling
Trolling, simply put, is commenting to create arguments. That is different than commenting to create discussion. Trolling is also when you post the same complaint over and over in each thread regardless of what that thread is about. For example, if you comment in every thread about how the Kings should have drafted Player X instead of Player Y, even when the threads are about Player B, you’re just trolling. Trolling also includes complaining about specific commenters in a thread where they haven’t said a word. Constant complaining about a troll invites them to respond, so don’t do it.
Don’t troll.
You are not a moderator
One of the benefits of participating in our comments is that you are not burdened with the task of being a moderator. This means it is not your job to tell people how to be a fan. It is not your place to tell someone when they’re breaking a rule. It is not your place to discuss your agreements or disagreements with the site rules.
If you see something you feel is inappropriate, flag it and move on. Flagging comments make it much easier for us to see issues, especially in big threads, and we will handle the comments as warranted.
No personal attacks
If you disagree with someone, that’s fine. Disagreements are healthy and a big reason why discussing sports are fun. But if you resort to name calling or insulting people, that violates site rules.

Go Kings!
let’s go Kings!
Let’s see the Kings put this one away early. PDX is hurt and inexperienced. This could be a good confidence boost to the team.
Oh, I like this court. Th roses are a nice touch and the color isn’t hurting my eyes.
The gray is nice on the eyes.
didn’t Keegan start cold against the Blazers last game also?
Desperately needs a shooting coach to help him fix his broken shot.
He didn’t do much in the last game against Portland. I don’t he has played good against Portland very often.
Domas doing the heavy lifting on the scoring end. Looking confident.
The Monk/Domas connection is strong tonight
Isaac Jones looks like a keeper! Great defender and rebounder, soft touch around the rim, and good hands for lobs/pocket passes. Definitely has a role here.
Yup, he looks like a legit NBA player.
Ugh…Huerter to the locker room on a non-contact injury.
Looked like a really minor tweak. I’d be surprised if it kept him out more than a week.
I swear Banton’s had other massive games against us, am I crazy?
O-Rob! Greetings everyone! Go Kings!
I haven’t seen anything from him which suggests he’s better than Len
Keegan is the stronger looking brother.
Great, we suck at free throws again.
And no one can dribble one-on-one
Wow, Ellis held on to the ball for way too long there.
LOL, what is Jerami Grant wearing on the sidelines?!!?
I just saw that. I guess “fashion”?
Looking disjointed right now
Brown’s rotation is sure exciting.
Offense has totally stalled
Two pretty evenly matched teams going at it.
0 points on 0/4 from the field from Keegan is unacceptable. I’d rather he was 0/10. He needs to assert himself in the offense.
Unfortunately, that’s not his style of play.
He needs plays ran for him. Get him going to the rim for some easy ones.
He had a couple wide open shots just rim out. I think he just needs to see some fall through.
He’s just an afterthought most of the time on offense. Barely even touched the ball offensively the last 4-6 minutes of the half.
I made a point to watch him off ball, and he seems to be being used as an off ball screener more, doing dirty work setting down picks. He’s not coming off the screens like he used to for a catch and shoot. Maybe it’s his role as the other big next to Sabonis? If so, I feel he’s being misused.
Sounds about right. Seems misused
Misused or Brown’s only option? One begets the other.
Kings need to tighten things up if they want this one.
Terrible looking shot by Fox, but what else is new
TO’s hurting the Kings. Sabonis, Fox, and Monk combined for 11. As a team PDX had just 8 TOs
Sabonis and Fox have been turnover machines this season.
There is a lot of truth to that. Both are at career high for TOs per game so far this season, Fox especially. Fatigue, perhaps?
Not sure about fatigue, the sloppy handles has something that’s been going on since the preseason.
Sheesh, this really is a must-win. Lesser(?) opponent and trying to get back to 0.500. Can’t lose this one. Need more offense from anyone not named Sabonis.
5 straight possessions and the Keegan is just standing in the corner. Is that by design?
He needs a fire lit under his ass. He is too passive this season. Steadily going backward on the offensive end since year 1.
Keegan had a nice look from 15 feet, passed it to Domas’ feet instead
Keegan’s favorite type of pass is passing up open looks.
Are we in for another 12-point 3rd quarter?
Remember when we were a good basketball team?
2002 was a long time ago
20 years goes by in the blink of an eye.
At this point in the season the offense is a much greater issue than the defense.
Having to get minutes from guys like Colby Jones and Isaac Jones perfectly explains this season so far.
Kings have scored 25 points in the last 18 minutes of play
TOs, second chance points and 50/50 balls have killed the Kings tonight. Lots of wrong bounces have led to a lot of Blazers points.
how rare has it been over the last three years for the Kings to build an early lead, hold it all game, and win convincingly?
LOL, McDermott in the game. Straws grasped.
McDermott is in. Desperation time
It’s pretty amazing to see Mike Brown’s system ruin people’s ability to shoot from outside.
Tonight’s performance will be the Kings’ 9-11
this is a game where DeRozan could just get buckets at will
Kayte was wondering out loud why PDX keeps going under the screens on Monk because “he’s such a good outside shooter.”
Maybe it’s because Monk is not a good outside shooter?
I feel they’d prefer him to take 3s as opposed to breaking down the defense off the dribble, same goes for Fox.
Kings don’t want to win tonight
Recurring theme.
what is the Kings’ record over the last two years in games following an emotional win? I think they just fall flat next game. total apathy.
Dang, we’re the only team that’s unintentionally tanking.
Kings are getting absolutely killed in the paint. PDX up to 50 point there.
Brown: “Let’s go super small.”
so predictable
Spurs are going to destroy us on Sunday.
I think the Kings will be competitive on Sunday because Portland is kicking their asses today.
Depends on if they have their 2nd player only meeting this week or not. Unfortunately, the Spurs are the better team either way.
Just let the end of the bench finish the game.
Just playing unfocused, sloppy and without any fire. So uninspiring.
constantly complaining about the refs who are not responsible for the TO’s and the bad D.
I think it’s because they had a big win last game.
I feel bad for SMF-PDX Conection, who’s at the game. Another stinker after a holiday for the Kings.
At least he is in cool spot. Portland is a fun city to see a game in.
Ellis is our MVP this year. Let the man start.
Good to see Crowder barking at his teammates when the offense does not function. He sees open shots and the rest of the team is playing ISO ball. Veteran mindset this team needs badly.
Keegan sitting at zero. He plays average and this an eight or ten point game. A guy who has never practiced with this team is out playing him.
Derozan is needed badly.
Brown is praying McDermott can get hot.
The team is losing to a bad team and they don’t look upset at all. They are going through the motions.
Time for changes. The culture sucks.
At this point, Monte would be a fool to not test the waters for returns on Fox & Sabonis.
Fox is the softest in the NBA. There is a reason why Team USA does not even consider him. Real players don’t respect him.
Judging by the last season plus, Monte might be a fool.
Fox will force his hand this offseason whether he wants to or not and I can’t blame him. This core just ain’t it and it’s sad to see only 2 seasons after the magical Beam Team season.
Fox leaving is step one in building a good team. Fox has had his chance. He is not the guy.
So…worst loss of the season so far, amirite?
Correct.
Don’t worry, there will be a lot more of them before the season ends.
The vibes seem totally off. A lot of sloppy turnovers, passiveness, very little fight, complaining about refs.
I fear Brown is starting to lose the locker room.
This team is no contender but simply shouldn’t be this bad. But hard to argue that they are better than their current record.
This organization has to deal with two decades of being soft. It is possible that Brown has run into this reality. His newness has worn off and the players know that the organization will allow them to get away with it.
Pat Riley would have turned this roster over twice this year.
We’re now tied with Brooklyn for the 10th spot in the lottery, but we should move up Sunday.
The other team does whatever they want to us.
Spurs are going to blow us out.
