And probably old enough to remember that historically they’ve rarely been able to stop any kind of drive
Kings defense been terrible all game for the most part, Thunder were just missing a ton of layups early in the game. Can’t expect that to continue all night. Now with the Kings reeling, they desperately need stops but are unable to keep OKC from getting right to the rim whenever they want

down 2 and he misses a wide open jumper from the FT line badly. Having a PG who can’t shoot is just brutal in these crunch time minutes
lazy pass is nearly picked off by Dort but fortunately the ball went out of bounds so it doesn’t go as a turnover
And then he caps the night off with the hilarious turnover trying to cross Dort over and gives up the game winning layup in transition at the end. What a shit show

Watched from the mid-3rd. Besides the obvious, Fox got taken to school by Gilgeous-Alexander. Like Kenny Thomas on the postgame, he seems incapable of being anything other than honest.
What gem will Walton’s postgame show bring us? I definitely blame him at least partially for Fox’s slump.

Yep. Simmons is in another universe as a defender and passer than Fox is, and unlike Fox, Simmons at least has the sense to realize he can’t shoot. I’ll take the guy who isn’t gonna take 5+ 3’s a game at less than 20% while providing elite defense and better passing/court vision

It boggles the mind. Not all of this is on the shoulder of Walton. Most of this roster has to be rebooted, as well.
IF Monte really has the say here, it’s time to start acting like a GM.I figured this roster to be a 9-10 seed. Playing like this, I don’t even believe they will achieve that.
For all of you who now want to trade Fox for Simmons, the time for that was when a lot of you where ridiculing those of us suggesting it during the preseason. Now, it’s obvious that Fox isn’t anywhere near the player Simmons is. And it’s hard to see why Philly would want him.

Who really cares if he’s a good fit on the sixers or not. The only thing that matters is that the 76’ers (or any other team) thinks he’d be a nice fit.

I just can’t see the 76ers taking on Fox’s contract. The team is playing well without Simmons, so a trade that brings them a serviceable reserve, an expiring contract and draft choices would be better. Fox’s inability to play defense is a significant problem in moving him at his cost.
I can’t either. The KIngs best hope is to trade for someone like Reddish, Pascal, Wood, or even trade Barnes and Buddy to the DUbs for Wiseman, Moody. Start building a team the right way.
I’d do most of those for fox ideally Pascal. Trading fox for a legit wing is the idea. Keep everyone else, and you have got yourself a nice team

I would do that too. Again, Simmons is an all star. He could take pressure off Fox and elevate his game. Simmons would be fine w Fox, buddy, Holmes, Barnes.
The problem I see with that is 2 non shooters. The other problem is I don’t like fox leading this team. It’s too much the same failures every night. Fresh leadership is needed
Talent is talent. Simmons would instantly be the best player kings have had in the last 10 years. Simmons could facilitate the offense. Fox would not be the leader in that situation, he’d be robin to Simmons’ Batman.

I’m not sure why some people in these message boards think it’s a bad idea to trade Fox or hali for a three time all star, 2 time all defensive first team player who is 25 years old. That’s a losing mentality.
I understand. It is just hard for me to accept trading away a talent like Haliburton, with an unrealized upside. He’s the kind of player you really try to keep.
I would totally agree if Simmons was 32, but he’s 25. Do we even know if he’s reached his potential yet? What if he developed a decent jump shot? His upside I think far outweighs Hali.
And really, I love haliburton. Nice guy, good energy, lots of upside. But take the emotion out of it and Simmons is better.
You know what, at this point I don’t give a fuck who they trade. Nobody is off the table as far as I’m concerned…just improve the team and especially get rid of this fucking incompetent coach.
