Agreed, it would have made no difference. The refs just had to follow the rule book. No one had possession, it’s as simple as that.

it is that stupid trying to save clock on inbound same bullshit. It’s in DNA and if he didn’t touch the ball the clock should not started. he should’ve started to push into the paint kick out or get fouled. That is what we need from him. A leader
He wouldn’t have burned clock because he didn’t touch the ball. The ball would roll with the clock stopped. Technically, no possession at time of whistle. Refs fault for blowing the whistle out of anticipation as opposed to seeing it through. Unfortunate.
