After losing yet another preseason game to the Golden State Warriors, it’s clear that the sky is falling. Kevin Huerter will never shoot over 30% again. The Beam will remain dim for months. We are back in the dark days and looking forward to the NBA Lottery. But there’s little time to dwell on this impending doom, as the Kings are back in action tonight against the Utah Jazz. Even though the Kings had a short commute home from San Francisco, it still feels wildly unnecessary to have a back to back scheduled in the preseason. Be better, NBA.

Things to Watch:
Minutes and Gamesmanship: This is Sacramento’s final preseason game, and teams generally use the final preseason game to really ramp up minutes and prepare for a regular season rotation. But given the circumstances of this game, it feels more likely that last night was Sacramento’s ramp up and tonight will see a heavy dose of bench minutes. Not only is it a back-to-back, but the Kings face the Utah Jazz. The Kings will face these same Jazz on October 25th, the Kings season opener. While it may seem unnecessary to limit scouting for Game 1 of the upcoming season, there’s also little advantage to giving Utah a dry run before next week.
News and Notes:
The Kings made a few minor signings earlier today, signing Dane Goodwin and Jake Stephens.
The Sacramento Kings have signed Dane Goodwin and Jake Stephens to training camp contracts, a league source told @spotrac.

Both players will presumably be waived in the next few days, as these deals are going to set the stage for both players to join the Stockton Kings. I’d be surprised if either player was even available to play tonight, but who knows.
Here is a guy the Kings should strongly consider kicking the tires on.
Nah, man. He is too athletic of a big for this team. Haha!!!
Do we have roster space to sign a FA?
No reason to play the starters except Huerter today. Play the bench and get ready for Utah again next week for real.
With the Jazz the preseason will end;
Maybe see how our new guys blend.
Can’t be sure who will play—
SEGABABA today—
Love to start up a winning trend!
Let’s see how Lyles handles the Domas role offensively.
Can Sasha perform with more minutes?
Does Davion get in to mor of a rhythm with higher minutes?
All things I will be looking at tonight
