Sexton is officially out with a case of Davionitis, a.k.a. “rest.”
He has no chance of it but this 2nd quarter is a good highlight reel for Domas MVP campaign. Sheesh the Kings are a wreck any time he’s not on the floor
Hopefully not, but the Kings 3PT shooting hasn’t been there and they’re making way too many turnovers. Jazz have lost 4 straight so you know they’re bringing it this 2nd half trying to put an end to their slide
However, Fox has gotten next to no calls, and we’ve been perpetually on the brink of collapse pretty much since halfway through the 2nd quarter, so I suppose it balances out
Doubt it. Tankathon (just one spot of course) has Murray going 16th in their current mock draft and the Kings have the 20th pick right now. I’m betting Kris moves up as the year moves along.
I watched it three times in slow no and Keegan did not foul him. Had Lauren not kicked out his foot there would’ve been no contact. Keegan was not under him; it was a weird angle but Lauren kicked his leg out. Even on the last shot, Lauren kicked his leg out again.
Saw another angle on twitter where it’s very clear that Lauri kicked his leg out and I’m sure we’ll once again hear how that was an incorrect call in the L2M report as usual
Thanks fellas. I have to rub my eyes hard on some plays, but not that one, how the eff do three refs miss that, and none of the other two steps up to override a bad call…part of the ref brotherhood I guess, don’t leave a fellow ref out to dry. Just a horrible call.
I thought the fact that Mike Brown didn’t take a TO there really helped the Kings more than the Jazz after Markannen’s 3 FT’s. By late 3rd, the Jazz still had 5 TO’s before the mandatory kicked in. The Kings had 3. The game finished with the Kings having 1 and the Jazz taking all of theirs. FWIW.
The Jazz PBP folks (Bolerjack, Bailey and Holly Rowe) are huge homers and they were talking it up like it was incredible short sighted reffing against the Jazz. In reality, it’s just a tough game to officiate.
Wow, I checked the score on nba.com* and it said Utah 118 Kings 117 with 0:00 left in the game. Then I checked again 30 seconds later and it said Kings 117 Utah 115. What the heck???

Bench has been highly productive all season, just one of those games. Good to see the Kings find a way to win despite the lack of bench production + the high turnovers.
The Kings got killed on points off turnovers tonight, too. Lost the 3 and FT battle also.
This team has really excelled when they keep the turnovers to an average margin, don’t get cooked in transition and hit their 2’s (when they get them) and their 3’s. The Kings tonight just cooked from 2 and that’s what really won them the game. The Jazz score more points in the paint than the Kings, but tonight the Kings outscored them in the paint 52-48. The last 4 points? De’Aaron Fox’s dunk and GW layup.
Good to know the starters are really bringing it. Just hope they have enough gas in the tankfor tomorrow night. We somehow have to get over that inability to get 5 games over 0.500.
Did anyone else think the inbound court length pass to Markennan by the jazz was a foot foul with his toe on the line under the basket? It was only on for a brief second, I’ll have to look at it on UTube. Could be I had a bad angle on the couch…
It is a bit weird that the refs have been calling the smallest foul, travel, or carry this year (which I completely support) but they don’t call the FT lane violations that occur on 80% of every FT attempt and they don’t call inbounding violations. Sabonis gets away with it at least 5-6 times a game where he jumps with both feet towards the baseline but inbounds the ball before he lands out of bounds.
Sexton is officially out with a case of Davionitis, a.k.a. “rest.”
His cure is an off night from Off Night.
Keegan falling back to old habits? getting burned by Markanen on a simple straight line drive?
Alexander-Walker already having an Off Night
Huerter continues to be in a groove
I think that might be four consecutive turnovers while trying to pass to Holmes, since Memphis.
I can understand not fitting into a new offense as well, but he’s just lost all his groove and ability
In the Memphis game, I think his teammates were trying to get him more involved and maybe forced a pass or two.
Domas couldn’t push Steven Adams around in the paint like running into a brick shithouse but Walter Kessler doesn’t present the problem
Shaqtin basketball breaking out between these teams those last few possessions
Both still scoreless this quarter
And of course the first score is an and-one three for the Jazz
Turnover battle!
This traveling calling has gotten to be too much. Destroys the flow of the game for both sides.
Wake up. JFC. The Kings just stopped playing basketball.
He has no chance of it but this 2nd quarter is a good highlight reel for Domas MVP campaign. Sheesh the Kings are a wreck any time he’s not on the floor
not impressed with the Holmes minutes, for the last few games.
It wasn’t good and the Jazz killed the kings on the OREB with him out there
he also takes up central places on the court instead being hid in the corner.
Nice little pass from Keegan to Domas
Is Fox going to do anything tonight?
That call was VERY late.
Stop fouling the Jazz on 3PT shots!
Jazz broadcast said Huerter’s called the red Mamba
Fox is a total zero in the box score but he is facilitating a win at the moment. We need more of this Fox.
It’s not even halftime. Fox isn’t facilitating anything. Are you serious?
They have more points than the other team.
Yep, good half by Fox. Actually, our starters have all looked good, so it’s no surprise we’re up by nine.
Jazz just playing with more energy right now
Beautiful passing
I prefer Draper over Jones
Refs are balancing out iffy no-calls in our favor by swallowing their whistles on every Fox drive
Fox seems to be able to get his shot whenever he wants..: I can’t wait until Murray starts converting the floaters and short shots in traffic…
The Celtics must have forgotten there is an NBA team in Oklahoma City. Yeesh.
SGA isn’t even playing either.
This feels like one of those games where the Kings hold on to a lead and then lose in the 4th quarter. They aren’t playing well tonight.
Hopefully not, but the Kings 3PT shooting hasn’t been there and they’re making way too many turnovers. Jazz have lost 4 straight so you know they’re bringing it this 2nd half trying to put an end to their slide
Wow, how did Fox save that?
The refs have been calling this game very badly in our favor
Yep, we’re getting very, very friendly refs tonight.
However, Fox has gotten next to no calls, and we’ve been perpetually on the brink of collapse pretty much since halfway through the 2nd quarter, so I suppose it balances out
Huerter commits an ugly TO once a game.
Kings need to pad this lead because Sabonis is gong to need to sit at the end of this quarter and into the 4th. Things go to shit when he sits.
who do bring in to back him up?
Try out Neemy or Mezie again?
Holmes, but he is currently a -10 in just 6 minutes.
Probably why Domas is still in late in the 3rd. Try to pad this thing and then see if they can survive a 2-3 minute breather to open the 4th
Would be nice if Fox would step up to help Sabonis.
At this point in the game, the worst +/- by any player on either team belongs to Lauri Markannen at -13.
Here we go.
Welp, didn’t pad the lead and now Domas is resting.
Markkanen is at 10 FTs, yet he averages just under 5.
I feel like Fox hasn’t been exploding to the rim at all this game. He’s been going to his slow roll, Harrison Barnes type, Euro step.
Not ideal to turn the ball over 7 times and allow 38 points in a quarter IMO
KZ immediately making an impact
How does Holmes miss that rebound?
He’s pressing
Holmes just got destroyed on that PnR.
I am simply begging Holmes to get a rebound
Domas back in for what I assume will be the rest of the quarter lol. Gonna need it
Quick break for Sabonis. Thank God. He may play 40 minutes tonight.
More KZ minutes please
I’m starting to see what Coach Brown was talking about at the beginning of the season
Love KZ’s defense
Jazz outscoring the Kings 25-6 off turnovers? Jeez
That hurt
WHOA KEEGAN!
Oh yeah, nice fucking play
Crap, 5th foul for Domas
OT but seeing as Keegan’s twin is still at Iowa, I wonder if the stars might align and we could get him with a second?
Doubt it. Tankathon (just one spot of course) has Murray going 16th in their current mock draft and the Kings have the 20th pick right now. I’m betting Kris moves up as the year moves along.
4th quarter Fox
Fox taking over the fourth, as usual.
Keegan taking some spills out here. Loving the effort!
FOX OMG!
SHUT ‘EM UP, FOX
Go Fox!
KZ gives you great defense intermixed with bad fouls
That was a foul on Clarkson.
You’ll have to excuse me, I’m watching the Utah broadcast
Clarkson stopped and threw himself backwards into KZ
Jazz flopping like crazy
2nd chance points…
Small lineup with bad defense
That was not a foul on KZ.
D up and grab the damn rebound and hit your FT’s and get outta here
KEEGS NO
JFC that’s like the 6th time in these 2 games they’ve fouled a Jazz player shooting a 3…
I saw two replays and I honestly didn’t see a touch could or a lower body foul on Kegan. What was the foul that was called?
I watched it three times in slow no and Keegan did not foul him. Had Lauren not kicked out his foot there would’ve been no contact. Keegan was not under him; it was a weird angle but Lauren kicked his leg out. Even on the last shot, Lauren kicked his leg out again.

Auto Wrong…could = foul
These refs are fucking blowing it.
THAT WONT COUNT!
Kings win. These refs can F off.
KARDIAC KANGS
Holy cow!
THANK YOU REFS, WE DESERVED A SHITTILY CALLED GAME IN OUR FAVOR FOR ONCE
What the hell happened?!
Refs did everything in their power to get Utah the win in the last 30 seconds but Fox stopped them.
Fox with 20 points in the fourth quarter. Insane!
Even better, it was 22
Oh yeah. Amazing.
The last two baskets being flat amazing. A huge jam and a self created layup.
Jordanesque
That was special stuff what Fox did. He carried the bench unit tonight, and really the offense down the stretch.
Yes our Bench was trash… we will need them tomorrow on the back to back if we want a chance.
I wonder if IntheStarz would say that Fox made an imprint!

These Kings/Jazz games sure don’t disappoint
Fox won that game for the Kings.
FIRE THE LASER!
Keep the laser employed!
lasers of the world, unionize!
Props. Brilliant.

WE MADE IT
Every game now. Keegan 50% FG, 40% 3pt FG. Keep it going rook!
Yikes! Only 8 bench points total on this game? Can’t keep the winning going like that.
Brown is riding the starters right now. Monk had a horrible game.
Nobody on the bench played more than 17 MPG tonight.
Every starter brought their “A” game, and boy did the Kings need it!

The Kings are 9-8 against the West including the win tonight. That’s going to help you a long way towards securing a top 6 playoff berth.
Gotta love Fox being the only starter with a negative +-

At the end I was screaming then cursing then cheering. What a great two wins against the Jazz.
Does the hate for the L*kers extend to all LA teams? Because the hockey Kings are tied up at the start of the 3rd period
Destiny…a player named Fox will score the winning goal from the left crease….
Hockey? What is this Hockey you talk about?
