The Sacramento Kings lost to the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday at Golden 1 Center 133-100. The Hawks were without Trae Young. The Kings were without Zach LaVine and Malik Monk. Keon Ellis played 31 minutes and scored 20 points.
The Kings had 22 assists (the Hawks had 42) and 20 turnovers. They got out-rebounded 45-35. The Hawks shot 57% from the field. The Hawks had 33 fast break points. The Kings had 8.
The largest lead of the game for the Hawks was 44.
The Kings are losing the fight within the games, the games themselves, and everything else in between. The players don’t look like they are having fun at all. And everything the fans knew about this roster coming into the season was correct.

Sometimes I question if the commentators lack pattern recognition; they talk about vague defensive struggles but never point out the actual concrete trends like compulsively switching every time the ball gets passed and invariably giving up 20 open threes a game.

It’s been a while since I have this much apathy for Kings basketball. It’s almost same level as Soccer for me.
I enjoy certain high stake Soccer if I happen to be in a situation where the game is turned on in front of me. I just don’t go out of my way to watch it. Kings Bball is getting to that level. Sigh

I’m not watching this debacle and I’m not going to, but I have to admit that I’m enjoying this catastrophe on the court tonight. 85-52 midway through the third quarter? It’s the best possible outcome. This abomination of a 2019 NBA fantasy team is completely falling apart, barely a month into the season. Tough to blame that on “the haters.”
It’s not because I hate the team, but because I want Vivek to be shamed and humiliated so inarguably and universally for his endless failures that he finally gives up and sells the team, since I have no hope he will ever back off making the idiotic roster decisions that led to this disaster.

“College” was exactly what came to mind when I first heard it.
Then after the game last night he went off on the players. If he hadn’t lost the locker room before.
As an Eagles fan I would get SO FRUSTRATED at Andy Reid’s endless “We need to do a better job” responses. Now that I’m older, I totally get why he does that.

and really-going after fans/media rather than yourself, your team, your owner(which I realize you can’t). Unless you had a spine that is.
Unfortunately, Doug’s hater comments, Kayte prattling, all point to the dysfunction that Vivek has brought to this organization and that it’s much worse than we can imagine. The whole thing is rotten to the core.
Everyone is running scared of the little shit. Negative work environment. Etc etc.
Everyone in this org is just protecting their paycheck at this point.
I was at the game, and honestly, the Kings put on one of the WORST basketball performances I’ve ever seen. They were shooting like 35 or 36% FG%. The Hawks had a better 3pt % than we had FG. Zero Defense, no ability to create a shot, bad passes, no energy… nothing was good. No bright spots to point to.
What was amazing is how much bigger the Hawks were, and SO MUCH FASTER at the same time. Their passing was crisp and skilled. They dunked on us over and over. It was a total joke.
We, like 60% of the half full arena, left midway through the 4th. It was trash.
I felt bad for all of the businesses in DOCO that are hurting for a crowd, because no one wants to come watch this garbage and most who do go bail and just go home before the game even ends.
Bigger, faster, and younger is gong to be the theme for nearly every team the Kings face. ATL’s future in Daniels, Richcher, and Johnson are 22, 20, and 23 respectively. The Kings only have Nique as young as those guys and he’s 23.
I think it’s funny that so many people here have embraced the label “hater”. Was Doug talking about you? I have seen mostly valid criticism of players, team construction, coaching, …. And I think it is fine if the coach tries to convert adversity into motivation: what else does he have left?

The players need to know that we Kings “haters” do not hate the individual player, rather we hate the FO for placing them in a situation that is impossible for them to succeed. Each of these players in the right system, will flourish. Together in Kangzland, they are a pile of shit.
I’m just not even gonna get upset any more. Fortunately, I’ve been able to sell my tix for about what they cost. I’ll just keep doing that and only go when I don’t have a buyer. Doug isn’t the problem, Perry isn’t the problem. They are the symptoms. .
My apathy for this team has reached an all time high. I don’t hate them. I hated the Artest/Barnes team. The Kenny Natt team at least had some young exciting likeable talent in Garcia, Jackson, Green and Martin. This team has no charisma outside of Malik Monk. They have no real chance of winning anything with their current roster, the rebuild hasn’t even started. Murray is nice, but he’s not a foundational piece. Just an easy team to not care to watch. The antithesis of the beam team.
