I really do not care for Kyle Draper as the play by play announcer.
Yeah, he seems like the worst homer. That’s fine for the color guy (to an extent) but PBP requires some detachment. Mark Jones might be a little bit over-polished in this regard, but he’s a decent fit with Doug.
Grant was fantastic at PBP, too bad he was a giant shitheel

I’m buying Bagley’s 3-pt shot
If he can get to be 35% on 3+ 3PA/gm it should open up some things for everyone
For as much shit as he’s given on here, he’s definitely been getting better with more reps. His defense still makes him a net liability, and he needs to be more reliable scoring on the inside, but he’s made considerable strides in integrating himself as part of the offense rather than a black hole, knocking down the three, and even some highlights on D, too.
It’s when he reverts to black-hole mode that infuriates me…
All he does is focus on his defender like nobody else exists or it’s 1v1
And yes, his D has looked a lot better recently
why his D looked better all in a sudden ?
He’s been getting his hands up, working through screens and taking contact, all things that were missing earlier this year.
Not all of it consistently yet, but at least sometimes

I actually see lots of great defense for short spurts. Fox, Hield, Haliburton, Bagley, Joseph, and Holmes have many of those moments. They need to turn those moments into quarters and then those quarters into games though.

Fox is not an alpha. He needs direction, he doesn’t give direction. The good things is at this pace we can draft one. Our current crop of players need a good to great coach to succeed. I legitimately think this team would be closer to .500 with a good coach.
