He seems to possess a soft touch, he just needs to tweak the mechanics a little. He seems stiff when he rises up and the shot is always a line drive toward the basket. I have confidence he could learn to develop his range, but it’ll take some work.
Your comment about his shot being flat is spot on IMO. You know what’s crazy? He started off 1-5, he’s now 5-11 from the field and 4-4 from the line. Hard to keep a blonde mountain man down, I guess!
If he could even shoot out to 18 feet with consistency it would open up a whole new level to his game, and the way the team can play around him. He goes from All-Star to a potentially Top 10 guy.
True. On the Chuck Guarantee segment with Ro Parrish and Charles Barkley, Parrish asks Chuck if anyone would end up scoring 60. Chuck said no. KAT made that obsolete pretty damn quick. LOL
Favorite number of the night: Kings with 3+ assists (4 players). Barnes and Fox each have 4, DiVicenzo and Sabonis both have 3. Love to see these guys sharing the ball.
His mechanics always passed the eye test. It seems it’s become more a matter of repetition and confidence. He looks like he’s developing a real feel for the three and the confidence has followed. The one three he stepped into off a nice dribble move around the Sabonis pick was just so smooth and effortless. Not something I’d normally associate with Fox’s game.
The first three of the night real early in the 1st qtr seemed to be the type of shot he never made before. It seems like he hits maybe 1 of those a night now….and if that’s the case….hoo buddy. Game changer.
They need to get a great shot, preferably through Domas, on this next possession. This offense to open the 2nd half is ugly.
While the Kings did give up 34 points that qtr to Chicago, they also did manage to score 25 points despite the frequent trips the Bulls had to the line that period.
Pretty much. Nobody notices when he plays sporadically for the Kings, but on a better team he’s basically a homeless-man’s Draymond Green. Starting Trey Lyles over Harkless is ridiculous from a “win games” perspective.
This is the first time where I thought Alvin Gentry had a pulse on his team. And I think a big part of it is was combinations. It wasn’t just how many minutes Harkless played, it’s also what he did do on the court. This was a team win all the way around, IMO.
I get not wanting to give layup’s, but you would have been better off not sending LaVine to the line.
Oh, for all the complaints about the officiating, the Kings are 20-22 from the line and the Bulls are 21-22 from the line. I think we can safely say officiating has not been the difference in this game.
Play Mitchell and DD 30 minutes a game the rest of the season. There’s no reason for Holiday, Harkless, Lamb or anyone else to be taking minutes from them. There’s also no reason not to play Metu. Lastly, I hope the Kings realize how good Mitchell will be. We need defense and Mitchell and to a lesser extent DD play defense.
I thought he looked like a burnout. Man if I saw him on the street I’d be thinking where did that homeless dude get that nice King’s shirt. Buzzed? At least
I like the starting lineup at least. Would prefer Mezie to Lyles at 4, but at least they have DD in with Fox.
Definitely with you on both counts.
Let’s go near-win losses
Both sides played hard but the Kings lost by 1
That’s gotta be CGI. How do you land on the dirt in white clothes but have no dirt all over you?
Now that you mentioned it………
What about this CGI from the new Batman movie?
I think that’s Ricky Henderson
Donte for 48 mins pls
It’s astounding how quickly Domas draws double teams.
It’s no surprise where he’s going to be in the paint
Kings are playing decently defensively, but Chicago is missing a lot of shots right now.
Do love how that quarter went overall for Sac. And did I see Domas and Richaun on the court at the same time or were my eyes deceiving me?
get some new glasses……..thought I saw the same thing
Good quarter ! Donte solid for a change .
12 to 2 paint points advantage Sac. 8 to 3 Fastbreak points advantage Sac. And the Kings have 6 points off 3 Bulls TOV’s.
And the Kings are ‘holding’ the Bulls to 25% shooting from the field.
Chicago shot 25%, no wonder the Kings won that quater.
Sabonis has missed three six inch shots so far.
Domas is now 1-5 from the field. Me no likey that.
Metu…nice
What a break by DD & Mezie!!!
OMG Davion is having himself a hell of a game so far
DAVION HEAT CHECK RAINBOW TREE’Z!!!!!!!
That was a dunk by Domas!!!!!!!
Me likely that !
Sabonis is too nice.
Sabonis has one of the flattest jump shots I’ve ever seen. Put some arc on that thing!!!
I think once Domas shows he can hit that 16 footer consistently, he’s going to be so much better offensively.
I know he’s averaging basically 19, 13 and 6.

Totally! The last play where Caruso was running with Fox inside his shirt was a perfect example of Domas’ limitations on the perimeter.
Holy bayjeezbus, KAT is dropping 56 on San Antonio tonight.
KAT just hit 60. Lawdy.
and 17 boards
It is against the Spurs, to be fair.
Yeah, but it’s still the NBA

Amazing 1st half
Metu has made 3 highlight reel plays in the last two games
Great first half, but can they sustain it.
Mebbe.
Off night could get us a win tonight
I like wins!
Is Fox becoming a shooter before our very own eyes?
Fox’s numbers since the trade. He’s shooting 39.7% from 3 since Feb 8th (the day the trade was announced).
His mechanics always passed the eye test. It seems it’s become more a matter of repetition and confidence. He looks like he’s developing a real feel for the three and the confidence has followed. HB needs to be aggressive, being passive will hurt the Kings tonight..
He’s not the most exciting player to watch either
HB understands the tank.
Sweet play, great pass
Donte looking real comfortable in the starting rotation
I think that with every game he plays he gains more confidence and his (ankle?) injury fades into the background a little more.
It feels like the Kings have led by 15+ in every game in March
….Only to blow it.
Here we go again,,the third quarter blues.
Great TO by Gentry there, hopefully they work through Domas in the low block on the next possession.
Hopefully that O foul on Domas isn’t a sign of things to come…that’s his 1st foul.
MEZIE!!!! FOR!!! TREE!!!!!!
how did you get that up there so fast?
My fingers are magical.
Why doesn’t Metu get more minutes?
I mean Metu could get a lot of Barnes’ time when Barnes has an off night.
When a tree falls in the forest…..,….
Mezzie
Love this kid
While the Kings did give up 34 points that qtr to Chicago, they also did manage to score 25 points despite the frequent trips the Bulls had to the line that period.
Sigh. Davion really did have a toe on the line MItch Richmond 3 pointer.
And here comes DeRozan….
Looks like another great loss coming,
10 to 2 scoring so far advantage Chicago in a bit over 3 minutes so far in the 4th.
How many point blank lay ups has Sabonis missed tonight?
12?
There’s Lyles dub dub
Guess not
Love the fight. Strap up on D.
HB with the finger roll!!
Wonderful dime by Domas!!!
Very nice play
I love Domas’ ability to grab any rebound anywhere near him. Dude is just….amazeballs on the boards.
I like this version of no Holiday or Harkless
Harkless has been on the floor.
They have in fact been good when Harkless is out there. His +/- doesn’t lie.
Mo Harkless is the very defintion of a no stats All Star.
Pretty much. Nobody notices when he plays sporadically for the Kings, but on a better team he’s basically a homeless-man’s Draymond Green. Starting Trey Lyles over Harkless is ridiculous from a “win games” perspective.

perhaps Donte is the special ingredient the team needs.
Yes but 2 TO’s in a row I think
What changed the game, IMO, was when Gentry put all 5 starters back in the game. Great ball movement to get Barnes those FT’s.
Like Lester Hayes but no stickum
I get not wanting to give layup’s, but you would have been better off not sending LaVine to the line.
Oh, for all the complaints about the officiating, the Kings are 20-22 from the line and the Bulls are 21-22 from the line. I think we can safely say officiating has not been the difference in this game.
The arena is dead…where’s the music, I miss Arco
Thanks for the foul LaVine! I’ll take De’Aaron to the line for 2 here!!!
Donte came out of the pack with the ball!!! He got 2 FT’s as a reward!!!!
The Big Ragu with 15 points (3-5 from 3), 4 assists, 7 boards. That’s why the Kings acquired Dante DiVicenzo.
Lotta Bulls fans here. All going home sad.
Looked like a sellout, albeit half of them were Bulls fans.
Upper bowl less than half full. Lower close to full.
Play Mitchell and DD 30 minutes a game the rest of the season. There’s no reason for Holiday, Harkless, Lamb or anyone else to be taking minutes from them. There’s also no reason not to play Metu. Play of the game was the back door cut and pass, Sabonis to Fox.
Very nice. Played to perfection. Who’s guarding Giannis next game? I guess we’ll see what Davion can do
i remember the word Jerry Reynolds used when talking about Divincenzo: Sh*#-bird! And he meant it as a compliment.
Brad Miller has not aged well
I think he was a little buzzed…
I thought he looked like a burnout. Man if I saw him on the street I’d be thinking where did that homeless dude get that nice King’s shirt. Buzzed? At least
Impressed how hard the Kings fought to keep the lead tonight.
