The Sacramento Kings are signing Terence Davis, according to a report.
The Sacramento Kings are signing guard Terence Davis to a deal, sources tell ESPN. Davis, who played parts of three years in Sacramento from 2021-23, averaged 14.3 points on 40.2% 3-point shooting for the NBA G League’s Wisconsin team this season.

Davis played three seasons in Sacramento and was part of the 2022-23 Beam Team. He averaged 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1 assist in 13 minutes per game in that season, in which he played in 64 games. In the 2021-22 season, he played in 30 games for the Kings and averaged 10.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Former Kings head coach Mike Brown leveraged Davis quite a bit in Games 6 and 7 of the 2023 first round playoff series with the Golden State Warriors. Davis hasn’t played in the NBA since that 2022-23 season with the Kings. In January 2024, he suffered an upper Achilles injury in the G League.
This signing could be, but hopefully isn’t, an indication of the severity of the calf injury Malik Monk sustained in Monday’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
But anyway, why sign a point guard when you could get another shooting guard?!
I don’t know if he’s part of The Beam Team Reunion tour (bring back Rishaun Holmes, Chimezie Metu, Mathew Dellavedova) because they ran out of Glory Day Kings or as an actual addition.
They have Dougie McBuckets to shoot 3s and Jae Crowder to fill a roster spot. They added Isaac Jones, and discarded Terry Taylor who will continue to play for the Stockton Kings.
Tonight the Stockton Kings play the Osceola Magic in the Best of 3 NBA G-League Finals with Stockton having the home court, hosting the 1st and 3rd games.
Game 1 is Live now.
TD Dreamshake is back!

Shake and bake!
I can’t stand that guy.
Michael Malone fired, wonder if he’ll bash them as much as he did us for canning MB lol
Sign ALL the shooting guards!
It’s almost like someone up top has a bit of a Napoleon Complex. I wonder who that could be?
As Blake mentioned, this feels like Monk insurance in case he’s hurt more than we realize. It’s a bit off for me because LaRavia is still out and there is no one else really behind Keegan and DDR, but there is Fultz behind LaVine and Keon. Make it make sense.
Do you really think that bringing in some random dude for the final 3 games is going to make any difference at all?
Davis is probably just a practice guy, as he is familiar with what the Kings are mostly doing this season.
Why would they need a practice guy if no one is going to make a difference? They could pick from any number of dudes from Stockton, but they went out and signed TD.
I honestly don’t know, have dudes been given NBA deals to be a “practice guy?”
What difference does it make?
Heck maybe we can sign Mitch for the rest of the year.
Phoenix loses, looks like Kings officially clinched a 9/10 play-in spot.
A Kings win and Dallas loss tomorrow clinches the 9th spot.
TNT TD!
This front office/ownership is a joke.
Happy Play In Clinch Day for those who celebrate. First round picks are for losers, am I right? I expect a commemorative T-shirt. Or at least some snarky TKH memes…
I am still amazed that these last few games of the 82, have 4 teams with exact same records, with only a 2 game difference between the 3rd seed and the 8th. WOW!
Besides Michael Malone ducking Doug Christie (too soon?) tonight, it has to make you marvel. Two losses may toss anyone to the Play-In’s 8th spot. And in the Play-In, one game elimination can find you in the lottery.
How are the Clippers continue to win win win? The Warriors, same – Jimmy Butler made them juggernauts, when they were under .500? How does that work?
Stuff like that gives me the thread of hope that any team, even one in Sacramento, can somehow, someway “figure it out”.
Nah. Scrub that fantasy.
The West is insanely close this year. Kings lost in the crowd for sure. Hopefully we can make some noise and beat Denver tonight.
