Not surprised, but the ESPN (ABC?) pregame show literally says nothing about the Kings beyond the name of the team.
Yeah, they’ve barely talked about the Kings. All Warriors talk so far.
I think Derek Jeter and Aaron Rodgers have one more mention than De’Aaron Fox on this pregame.

If Mark Jones hadn’t been calling Kings games all season, it would have been much more painful. Kings were smart to have a seasoned professional like him calling some of the games with Kayte (as much as I enjoy hearing Kyle Draper).

16 to 14 paint points Sac. Each team with 5 TOV’s but the Kings only have 4 points off those TOV’s. You gotta take advantage of these opportunities. 7 OReb’s is excellent, though.

Fox and Sabonis being hacked
Back and forth half. Warriors live for the 3rd quarter though. Kings really gotta start finding their perimeter shot if they’re gonna pull this one out
All things considered, not a bad half. Fox and Sabonis are 7-21 combined. You’re not winning games in this series with that kind of numbers. See y’all for the start of the 2nd half.
Refs have not been a factor IMO.
The warriors are focusing on Huerter and mauling him as he works through the first and second screens. Big diff in the game

For at poorly as the Kings have shot so far, they’re only down 6. I Iike the energy and pace so far. Need to keep the mental lapses to a minimum though, I’ve counted at least 3 so far that’ve led to easy baskets.

Kings missing a lot of open and make able shots. Rebounding has been good, and the defense passable, given the history this season. Refs have missed some calls, but they’ve so far been better than I expected. Wiggins and Looney seem like the difference in the game at the moment. Sabonis isn’t going to bully or go up over Looney regularly, so some adjustments needed there.
The only miss that bugs me was the moving screen on looney towards the end of the half and curry hit a 3. It was really bad as fox was fighting through he stuck his butt into him and started walking backwards.. that was very bad

The Kings were winning the paint until Wiggins came in – he’s scored for them, but his D has made the bigger difference, including rebounding which GSW now has numbers (less O boards for Sac)

Curry leading Warriors in rebounding with 5 – they changed it from 6 – two others with 5
I have a theory that the Kings don’t do well at home because they can’t hear each other.

I’m not especially happy with the looks Domas is getting right now. He’s not going to make a high percentage of these looks.
Especially when the refs aren’t calling fouls. Domas and Fox have been fouled at least 3 times each. Curry steps under a running defender and goes to the line. It is what it is.

That non call on the Sabonis drive was the officiating I’ve been expecting.
De’Aaron has gotta be great in this series and we are seeing the start of that here in the 3rd. Hopefully this opens up other looks for teammates.

Starters outside of Fox are 8 for 34 at this point (23.5%). Looney is respoinsble for some of that, but a lot of it missing open looks.
You don’t win playoff games that way. Period. Or in the regular season either…
Monk in the 1st half and now Fox in the 3rd are basically the ones trying to keep them in the game. Need the others to step up. Rough games for them
8 assists to 8 turnover’s for the Kings. I’d say the Dubs are winning the game in terms of presence and style of play.
Kind of wish they just tried to win that end of season game against the Warriors so that they would be playing the Lakers instead.
Looney has always been a great player. I know he never would have left the Warriors, but I thought he would have been a good fit here.

Nah, he’s had worst games than tonight. But the Kings aren’t getting him the ball in positions where he can score in ways that is a high percentage for him. At least 12 of his 15 shots have been lower quality looks for him.

Oh are they? Shit. I didn’t realize that. That is a huge problem unless the Kings can start getting to the line. Dubs are now 18-24 from the line, Kings are 18-22.
I think Brown is taking this challenge for 2 reasons. One, to hopefully get the Kings a 50-50 play like that in the future. Two, because Fox is playing the entire 2nd half, he’s going to need to find him rest somewhere and this is a good time to do so with 4 remaining timeout’s. He still has one more to use before the 3 min mark (the use it or lose it) as well regardless of the challenge.

Kings win despite Domas having maybe his worst game as a King and with the Kings 3PT shooting being straight booty for most of the game, though they found their shot from deep in the 4th at least!
Lyles was 4-6 from 3, Fox was 4-8 from 3 and Monk was 2-4 from 3. That’s a pretty typical game I would suspect.
Started 4/21 but finished 12/32, so they definitely found their shot in that late 3rd/4th quarter, which they had to do if they were gonna pull this out. Obviously, we expect better from both Huerter and Murray moving forward
He still had 16 Rebs and 3 steals
Not too mention that according to Kerr, the Dubs defensive philosophy for this game revolved around stopping the Sabonis DHO, which meant they weren’t focusing on Fox. Domas’s mere presence (and historical significance to the Kings offense) was enough to change the way the Dubs were guarding the Kings as a whole.

My Highlights of The Game:
Len DPOG chain. Honorable mention to Davion.
Kings played good one on one D on Wiggins in 2nd half.
Mike Brown imploring his team to let it fly.
Fox 38 points supported Monk going to the rim in the 4th Qtr and perfect at the FT line.
Lyles playing really well with not many minutes.
Lyles scored 10 of his 16 points in that 15-2 run to close the 3rd qtr. That is what turned the game around for the Kings if we’re being honest.
Absolutely brilliant stretch for Trey.
Kings should make an offer to keep him and grow his role based on this season.

So Sling TV cut the feed with 10 seconds to go and switched me to a Mexican soccer match, so I couldn’t watch the triumphant finish. I had to watch the Yahoo Sports live score updates to see if the Kings won. Anybody else have this happen to them? Apart from that nonsense, oh my god what a freaking amazing game!!! LTB!!!

Man, been reading some posts/comments all around that the Kings got lucky here. Man, the Warriors got lucky, Domas had an off-night, Hueter shooting poorly, Keegan not on it at the moment. Steph hitting that ridiculous sideline 3 after a seemingly botched play. I say beat the Warriors big in Game 2 and silence all the f*cking haters.

Domas/Huerter/Murray shot 9/34 this game and the Kings still won. I honestly don’t think they had a single game this season with those 3 shooting that poorly combined. Warriors blew a great chance at stealing this one with 3 of the Kings starters putting in those kinds of numbers.
