Damian Jones has entered health and safety protocols, according to the Sacramento Kings injury report. The Kings were already without center Richaun Holmes, who is also in health and safety protocols.
Until Holmes returns, we can expect to see Alex Len receive the majority of center minutes for the Kings, with Tristan Thompson as the primary backup. We may also get to see Neemias Queta if Len or Thompson gets into foul trouble or is simply struggling in a game.
It’s unfortunate timing for Jones, who had been earning a larger role and had started the last few games for the Kings in Holmes’ absence.
Holmes entered protocols on January 1st, but we’ve yet to hear any updates on when he’ll return.
We wish both Holmes and Jones a speedy recovery.
Be well, Damian.
McNair stocked more replacement level and non shooting 5s and 5/4s than anyone would ever roster … just for today. Well played McNair
Bagley asking Gentry if he can play 35 minutes tonight and saying that he’s willing to play a little center to make it happen
H&S protocols are a waste of time
And we wish you no interaction with either of them.
This is truly a terrible comment.
So we should see a lot more of Queta tonight.
You know what’s wrong with this team? Too many centers.
